My Lariat ER was in the 11/7 group. Production started 11/7. Tear tag and modules by 11/9. It’s been on chip hold for nearly a month now.
My issue is that I’m seeing dozens of trucks in the 11/14, 11/21 and 11/28 build weeks showing built and shipped. Many with the same options as mine. Why on earth are the 11/7’s in purgatory and the newer builds are shipping?
Who can I talk to at Ford? I’ve been waiting 18 months for this truck!

I have a theory and you're not gonna like it. The same issues were happening when I was waiting for my mach e, and is probably still happening.

I think what happens is that they don't have the parts to finish some vehicles so they get pushed to the side. Then, if the trucks they build next week have all the parts, great. They're not going to disallow newer trucks from being completed to use those parts to complete the ones that are sitting outside in aforementioned purgatory. So they're kinda-sorta waiting on a shipment of extra parts to use on those incomplete trucks. There's my theory, and sorry you're potentially experiencing it.

I’m certain you are correct. It’s idiotic if true.
Ford is going to cost me $7500 if this truck isn’t delivered by the end of the year and if that happens I’ll be suing.

LOL you have zero chance of winning that lawsuit....but I totally understand the anger and frustration.

Maybe you should also search for a '22/'23 off the lot so you can still get the rebate. They are showing up here and there now.

I’m on the 11/21 build week tear tag popped on 11/25. And have been on chip hold since. And other in the 11/28 build week with same exact build as my truck I.e. same color options etc. are already shipping meanwhile mine waits for a chip. I think the real status of my truck is below

I believe it was @TaxmanHog who said he had a part in his truck with a sticker from a different build week. I don't like the sound of that either.

I realize that but the PR would likely be worth the effort.

My Lariat was built September 30th, no chip delay, still hasn't shipped yet. Has been a long drawn out experience.

Yup, rear bench seats were from another Lariat in an adjacent build week.

Ford is going to defend their production practices one way or another, they have limitations of control on what is coming into the materials supply receiving docks.

When just in time production slow down up stream at a vendor, this is way out of their control, they are promised by x & y vendors that materials be on site on time as your truck is nearly ready for construction, shit happens, not all of the materials arrive, trucks get sidelined for backlog fulfillment.

That queue of side lined trucks grows deeper and deeper, the lot-jockey is not going to be able to reach into the back end of the column where your truck is stuck, he nor the plant manager are going to hire CH-53E Super Stallion and air lift your truck to the post assembly workshop.

What they are going to do is , work in reverse order with whatever is easily reachable, as the recovery supply continues ebbing and flowing eventually they will reach the back end of the holding pen and your truck will be completed, (with parts from another order makers truck) LOL.

Good luck with the suit, let us know what court it's filled in I want to see how quickly it's dismissed .

When I start my own company I'll promise white glove CH-53E stagnant status service to compete with Ford.

Very unlikely that you'd get the PR results you're looking for. And getting involved in our legal system would be like punching yourself in the face to get revenge on Ford.

But instead of doing that, you have a month to locate a truck like the one you ordered. There are 1500+ Lightnings listed for sale nationwide right now on cargurus.com.

Most of those listed on car gurus are the demos and spoken for already. Ask me how I know. I called about 20 that have ER models and all are already sold. So although it may appear there are 1500 listed. I’d say 90% are sold

Yeah I'm not saying it's going to be easy, especially for ER which is rare. :)

I think all the Platinums are ER which makes it an easier search if a person can swing that price.
