Headlights Switching Itself Out of Auto Mode while on Bright and 'Bright-lighting' Oncoming Vehicles

Has anyone had the issue of your Auto headlight mode kicking itself into manual mode, and the issue causing you to bright-light on coming cars. When I catch the problem in time, I switch the bright lights off using manual mode using the manual stick. This is happening multiple times when I drive my vehicle at night.

What's the fix? How involved is the fix? It is an annoying problem. I hate the fact that I'm blinding oncoming cars at night. If this is a bigger problem than just me, why hasn't there been a recall?

It's the switch assembly. Mine has done it a couple times but not often enough for me to bother taking it in. There is a TSB for the Mach-E, I haven't seen one specifically mentioning the Lightning. The Mach E TSB said a trouble code would be stored, so that would help the service tech.
