If I understand your comment correctly, it sounds like a report needs to be made ro NHTSA on www.nhtsa.gov since you lost access to your reverse camera, which is required by FMVSS 111.
Back up camera is in middle screen, it was my dashboard screen behind steering wheel.

Add another case of "Dark IC Syndrome" to the tally. July 29. IC came back after leaving the truck off for 30 minutes.
Reported to Ford BEV In-Vehicle Technology group.
Awaiting any word on a permanent fix.

Disconnecting the 12V battery...while seemingly a catchall fix for glitches is not without consequences. The repair manual wants you to de-energize the HV battery system before disconnecting the 12V battery (which I will admit most techs probably won't do), and after reconnecting the 12V battery, a lot of learned values will have to be re-learned, and power window initialization steps will also have to be performed. So pulling a specific fuse seems like a smarter choice.

Just like the IPC fuse that @Maquis mentions there were people who also needed to pull the TCU fuse to clear out corrupted data on their 23 models several months ago but chose to disconnect the 12V battery instead. I'm sure it won't be the last time.

And anytime power is interrupted, or modules are programmed using FDRS with the frunk lid open, ..it will first have to be closed manually once, before normal operation using the various buttons and remote will work again.
I think there was an update(FDRS)that made my automatic up/down window not work I had to reprogram it a few days ago??
Thank you to whoever posted that on the other thread!!!

Many thanks to those who shared the problem I just experienced today. Like several of you, mine resolved itself after about 90 minutes. I'll keep a fuse puller near #13 for if or when it happens again.

Happened to me today!

Thank you forum for the fuse 13 removal/re-installation tip, that fixed it instantly.

Glad I found this thread. I don't have a Lighting but just got a 2025 F150 Powerboost on Fri (5/23). Not literally 24 hrs later and at roughly 50 miles (TOTAL miles... truck is BRAND NEW off the dealer lot)... Black instrument panel. I was livid!!

Did some searches and most everything pointed me here. I had tried disconnecting the 12V battery for an hour+. Didn't do anything. Switching fobs. Nothing. Driving a bunch with it blank hoping maybe there was some other battery that had been drained low from maybe sitting. Didn't help.

When I first saw "Fuse 13" I thought that was a Lightning specific fuse. As the regular/powerboost F150 owners manual shows fuse 33 as being for the instrument panel. Pulled that and reinstalled (fuse was good btw). Nothing. Fuse 13 is labeled something like "steering column module" in the manual.

I was about to give up and drop off at dealer and tell them take it back, I have buyers remorse and it's already defective after less than 24 hrs of driving off. So with nothing to lose as it's the long weekend and dealer is closed anyway I gave fuse 13 a shot. Pulled it out... then upon reinstalling... ding ding ding - the door chime ran. Then to my joy the instrument panel came back to life!

I can at least avoid an immediate dealer trip Tuesday morning. However, to say I'm not disappointed would be lying. This didn't happen at 50,000 miles... not 5,000 miles... not ever 500 miles... 50 MILES!!!!!! Not to mention how much of a pain in the ass it is to get to the fuse box. What a stupid location. Already broke some clips and there was a bit of trim already broken there when I first took the trim pieces off... so seems to me this may have occurred also before delivery and someone knew exactly what to do. Shame on Ford for such a chronic problem (judging by all the posts here) without a permanent fix!!

Oh no check engine light is on because it think my fuel gauge was stuck and that I should "bring in for service". Hopefully goes away or I'll connect Forscan to clear it.

Another victim of the dark console (sounds like the bad guys in a sci fi movie). It’s been raining here since mid may so I originally thought that must have been the culprit. I’ll try the wait awhile, different key fob, pull 13, lvb disconnect and dealer. Hope it resolved on one of the early interventions. Thanks for all the insight on this forum.

So, I started this thread 13 months ago. Still get this once in a while. I just let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes and restart the vehicle. Works and dealers have no other solutions. I have never done the fuse or LVB tricks.
