I installed my Escort 9500ix in the truck and am getting spurious "Laser Warning" on it. Continuous "Laser Warning" usually means a wiring issue, but it is not continuous and, luckily I am using the cigarette lighter port, so not a hardwire issue. Would have sucked to hardwire only to discover his incompatibility...

Anyone here using a modern higher end laser capable detector without issue?

I don’t speed a ton on the highways when road tripping because I just end up paying it back while charging, BUT around town a RD comes in very handy. Just yesterday I turned right towards our county court buildings and got a radar hit, looked down, was already going 40 in a 25. The Lightning is dead silent and hauls, it’s really easy to lose awareness of your speed around town.

Agree completely, I think I could make a defense case on a ticket just based on years of driving and there is no way I was going that fast! My mind is not calibrated to this Vault!

I have this experience daily, I'm used to being right on the road with my model 3 and I'll think I'm going 40 and it's 60

I brought over an older Uniden model, Uniden r3, to test out the IR sensors. I enabled blue cruise and has the Uniden face the IR blaster behind the infotainment system as well as the driver side door/pillar area which also looks like an IR blaster. No issues here.

I bought it not for its saving but for its ability to move!

Detectors are illegal in Virginia so no issue here. 😀
