Assuming both are new and similarly equipped… I can’t think of one good reason to buy 2023 if you could secure a 2022 at msrp

The 2022 is $7000 more then the 2023 . Just the 2022 has the heat steering wheel / on board scale nothing has been deleted for the 2022.

My dilemma

Why would the 2022 be $7000 more? They're either not configured the same or there's some real pricing shenanigans going on.

Its the 2023 thats $7K more - also you dont get the mobile charger in 2023. Its a $500 option.

OK, that makes more sense. If they're configured the same, then the '22 is the better deal as it has no missing features and saves you a bit.

Yes, Ford made the mobile charger a $500 add-on for 2023. Not worth it, IMO. Ford's mobile charger is pretty crappy. I ordered it with my '23 not knowing that much about it, now I see it's $500 I could have spent on a better one elsewhere. Lots of discussion on this here and on the mach-e forums.

While technically it is an option, when I placed my order in Sept 22, there was no way to not get it with at least the Lariat trim.

I ordered my Lariat Sept 9th and was able to delete it.
