Adjustable suspension would be ideal to keep as much highway range as possible. Looks great though!

Great video! Some great points about blue cruise and suspension changes may conflict with the sensors. Be an easy way to shift liability to the vehicle owner instead of the manufacturer in case of an accident.

it is nice to see an option for showing percentage remaining on the battery instead of only miles remaining.

I would expect that with any suspension change the weight sensors would need to be re-calibrated, which appears to be a factory only function. Without which many features may be impacted.

Would the same wheel/tire setup work WITHOUT the 2" level?

Will you have a Standard Range charging Video (in detail)?

I saw in one of your videos you had a camera looking at it (I think).

The numbers on the lifted range where looking decent:

Peaked @ 140kw right when plugged in @ 5%.

Took 40 minutes to go from 5-80% which is a little bit faster than Ford's claims (44 minutes from 15-80%).

You where on a new Signet unit, so YMMV if you get an older unit that doesn't perform at its peak (which is somewhat common for Electirfy America stations).

I do not believe so. We are real close to needing minor cutting to prevent rubbing. A different offset wheel may help but we have not got to that point yet. Mine will be leveled with stock wheels so I'll definitely be doing more experimenting then.

I'll speak to Mitchell about a more detailed charging video. We have more content in the works and charging us a huge topic. Lots of confusion and even misinformation right now about how the battery charging system works.

RANGE UPDATE 6/15:

You are almost exactly right about the reduction in range. Range dropped from 226 to 196 miles.
Some people's expectations for the truck are different and don't require the additional range. It's all about preference. Let's see if we recoup any range with the bedcover. I am expecting maybe 2-3 miles.

We just leveled one with 34" Nitto Ridge Grapplers on Black Rhino wheels using Readylift 2"standard kit with no preload spacers. I don't believe you can go any larger than stock without the level. With the level and no cutting or removing intrusion bars we were close but had no scrubbing when using our standard QC process. Driving feel and ride did not change.

An interesting note is the tire/wheel combo weights. Factory assy was 73 lbs. Our custom assy was a whopping 98 lbs. We basically added 100 lbs of non sprung weight.

Shock assy from the Lightning appeared exact same length as a stock assy when we compared them. As expected the coils did appear beefier but had the same number of twists.

We also accomplished speedometer calibration using a Hypertech in line calibrator. Installation was no different than any other previous ICE build and was verified accurate. We really like this calibrator because it causes absolutely zero issues with normal PCM programming. That is a big plus if you ever have to bring truck in for programming of any module. Stand alone programmers almost always cause problems with the IDS and FDRS software that Ford Technicians use.

Range test before build has already been posted to Town and Country TV on You Tube. Mitchell will be posting the complete build and range test post build as soon as video production is complete. We will also be installing a bed cover and performing a range test then as well.

Did I miss the range test with just the level kit and stock wheels? They said they would do it in the video but the range test didn't happen until the new wheels and tires were installed.

I'm new to this, but how does someone calculate what would fit? Is this something the tire/wheel shop would be able to do for me?

Id also love to know the range with stock wheels and 2” level 👀

I have a feeling those heavy tires/wheels are the majority of the range drop. My hope is a 2” level with standard wheels, or tires with similar oem weight will be minimal range reduction.

Im assuming on the numbers but dont want to get it wrong, but thats not a extended range correct.
