Got the truck home and wanted to lower the tire pressures from what they get shipped as (happens everytime I get a new truck).

So I checked FordPass and noticed this:

Wow. they're really overinflated....

But just to be sure I checked the door...

Hmm.. I guess they weren't that bad after all. 🤣

So I dropped the high ones down a couple of psi....

So don't believe FordPass...check the door sticker.

That is strange - I wonder if it is a carry over from the ICE pressure settings....

My experience with Tesla is that I get better range but a slightly firmer ride at door pressure + 2-3 PSI. Tesla wants 42, I run at 45 (tire max is 50 cold) - of course, air suspension helps to keep the ride good, so not sure I'll do that in a spring suspension.

Mach-E recommended pressure is 39, vs. 35 on most vehicles.

Don't check tire pressure after driving. Pressure is for cold tires. 44 is probably right on for a warm, but not hot tire that is supposed to be 42 cold.

What did the truck display say about the tire pressure? Did that have the right information?

Most EV's do better with slightly higher tire pressures. They run quieter, corner better, accelarate faster and extend range. If it says 42 psi. I'll probably run my rears 44 psi and my front 46 psi.

Yea I would believe the door sticker over food pass.. pretty sure a certification process has to go through for that door sticker to be produced.

It doesn’t say what the recommended pressures are just what each tire pressure is at that moment.

What does the door tire pressure sticker say for the 18" wheels? Can someone post a picture?

If anyone hasn't found out yet, that issue is the recall ford has on the Lightning. The 35psi was also the value for low tire pressure in the computer as well. The correct value is the 42psi
