Looks like they’re only allowing reservation holders at their dealership test drive it. But we can at least go look at it. Here’s their exact response:
“Hey Matt! Unfortunately the lighting is being used as the owners demo. So only current reservation holders at our store will be driving it. You’re more than welcome to come check it out though! “

Lynch Ford in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, has a standard range Carbonized Gray Metallic F-150 Lightning XLT available for test drives. My wife and I took a test drive -- a very nice, smooth-driving truck, if somewhat lacking on options. Lynch says they won't mark up Lightnings above MSRP. I certainly hope so, because our reservation is through them. BTW, Lynch says they have only delivered one Lightning to a customer so far.

New Jersey:

Mahwah Ford in Mahwah has a Rapid Red Platinum on the lot. They have it parked right out by the street. Test drives are reservation only, but they are not treating it like it’s special and were more than happy to show it in blistering heat even though I don’t have a reservation with them. They confirmed no markups on orders and Chris seems uncommonly knowledgeable on the process/wave system. An unusually pleasant dealer interaction over all, I’ll be moving my reservation to them to get an early MY23 invite.

Greenway Ford in Orlando, FL has a Rapid Red Lariat ER, loaded. ($81k sticker).
I just stopped by this morning to have my first look at a Lightning in person. The sales guy (Aaron) offered me a test drive, which I happily accepted. It drove very smooth, and very quick, even in standard drive mode.
