Indeed. As a former Ferrari club member and car magazine staff, I love to point out that our ERs are about as quick 0-60 as the legendary Ferrari F40 and a *whole* lot cheaper...Last time I felt acceleration like this thing has, I was in the driver seat of a Ferrari, no exaggeration! Something this big and heavy shouldn't move that fast, lol but I love it!!!
and quite a bit more space for passengers, and cargo too ! lol,Indeed. As a former Ferrari club member and car magazine staff, I love to point out that our ERs are about as quick 0-60 as the legendary Ferrari F40 and a *whole* lot cheaper...

Wife and I put that up about 12 years ago, had it delivered and could have had them install it free but you know the old saying holds true "if you want something done right, diy". In hind sight, I should have, we both ached for a week after lol.I know! Ludicrous speed!
Comes in handy sometimes when trying to merge, lol.
I like the car port, who made/sells it, and link if you have it handy?
My reason is a few fold, ever since I was a child growing up one of my favorite toys was my slot car track, I always fantasized about being able to be in that for real, fast forward 60 years and voila' it came to pass.Hey OP - since you list occupation as Auto tech, can you tell us a bit about what lead you from an ICE pick up to the Lightning? curious on your take from 'the other side' of the sales counter as it were...
Thanks for sharing the thought process. Funny, although we live a thousand miles apart, how many of your points line up exactly with mine.My reason is a few fold, ever since I was a child growing up one of my favorite toys was my slot car track, I always fantasized about being able to be in that for real, fast forward 60 years and voila' it came to pass.
On the pro side of things I guess I'm just sick and tired of changing oil and belts and every other greasy grimy part of an ICE and it's maintenance. I do that enough at work. Passing gas stations is fun as well.
Also wanted something I could park at my parents house after a storm if they lose power, I have natural gas and a whole home gen, they don't and can't get nat gas piped to their home, this was the logical solution. I can recharge it as needed from my solar array.
Before anyone flips the OMG he's a tree hugging purple hair freak switch, lol, no. I just like being able to control my own electricity, don't like depending on anyone or thing. Comes from living in hurricane alley. My plan is to be suburban off grid and I'm almost there.
