Update: I rode my bike over to the dealership today to see if they were making any progress diagnosing the buzzing noise and lack of cooling. I talked to the mechanic and he said he had been running tests and noticed the system was spiking from 100% down to zero and back on his meter and not staying in the middle like normal. He said he recharged the cooling system and the truck started cooling again and the buzzing went away completely.
I showed him the suggestions from this forum and he pointed to the comment from Chris and said that is what it was. Here is the comment:
"I don't know if they checked this, but there have been reports of bad/stuck valves in the cooling/heating loop. If a valve was stuck and the pumps were trying to circulate fluid, they could be near a stall condition and overworking causing the loud noise."
I threw my bike in the bed and drove home and the truck was as quiet as can be and the cooling worked well. I'm hoping that is the end of it. Thanks so much to Chris and everyone here who commented. It is so great to have this community with such thoughtful people. It is much appreciated.
