In case anyone is curious why the "Embargo"...

When I attended the launch event, I was super confused by the rules about sharing "how it felt" to drive the Lightning. We could say we did it, but weren't supposed to share details of the actual impression of the drive itself.

There were very few people outside of Ford to drive it at that point, and they told us we would be driving it even before the press was given the opportunity.

Eventually I realized why they had everyone hold back. I think they want all the reviews to hit at once, and they wouldn't want to hurt their relationships with the traditional media outlets to be influenced by anyone who drove it before them... Especially "Internet Influencers".

It's one thing to have Sandy Munro share his opinion, but I don't think customers like me or trendy YouTubers should share their opinions before Motor Trend or Road & Track get the opportunity.
