Model Year 22, 23 or 24 - which to buy?

Good day all,
Im getting ready to buy my first lightning. Extended battery obviously but ive noticed some things got left off the newer models, and i could be wrong, like scales etc. So, id like some feedback on which youd good folks would recommend. Any advice, help anything would be greatly appreciated. Right now, i keep leaning towards a low mileage ford lightning lariat with 511 a and tow package

ER XLT is best as it has a great screen and you have normal controls for HVAC and radio. I had failures with the same large screen in the higher trims in my Mach-e that drove me crazy with a dealership that could not fixed it. If you need leather, Katskin is really nice custom upgrade.

As far as 22/23/24...

For the Pro, get the 2023 instead of the 2022 (it has heated seats, 2022 doesn't).

2022 and 2023 models are all the same (comparing between model years), other than the SR Pro.

The 2024 ER removed the dual on board AC chargers, and it no longer comes with a Ford Charge Station Pro. The 2024 did add a heat pump to each 2024 trim, however that addition did not change the EPA estimate at all. They also stripped some base Lariat features.

Best bang for your buck right now is a 2023 XLT ER, if you can still find one.

There are battery failures in the 2022 and 2023 models. So far Ford says up to 4%, but I also haven't seen details as to what exactly is causing these failures (so we can verify it's probably only 4% max, and not just 4% now). I'd also like information what changes were made as to not have a percent of failures moving forward.
2024 includes a heat pump.

Research the other threads. There are ones that discuss changes for 2023 and 2024 model year. The 2022's still have the most features for the Lariat. In 2024 the ER model had the onboard charger reduced to what the SR has. So can't charge at 80 amps anymore (now 48 max). Doesn't affect DCFC and a lot of folks never installed the full 80 amps anyway.

And there are still many of us that like the 15" screen in the Lariat better. But it is a matter of preference and not a hard fact .

heat pump won't change EPA range estimates but it'll reduce range loss in winter.

Which ever has the best price on a new 2023 or 2024 of similar configuration. Probably better deals on 23's
