Just installed the RC 2" leveling kit, did the install on my driveway with jack stands. The install wasn't bad (worst part was pounding out the factory pressed in studs on the bottom of the struts).

Anyway, just wanted to share a picture of my leveled truck with factory 22" wheels/tires.

I drive a 50mile roundtrip to work every day and haven't noticed any real difference in range.

Next up...Take off Lariat seat covers!

I’m so tempted to level. Not comfortable diy, so hard to justify cost for purely aesthetics

Are you planning on bigger tires at all or just the level kit? I don't like the factory rake and was contemplating doing the leveling kit, but can't justify spending money on tires right now when the stock tires are still good.

After the factory tires are used up I might consider going to more aggressive looking tire, but probably not bigger tires. There was a video on YouTube of a Lightning on Nitto Recon Grappler 285/55/22's, looked really nice!

They aren’t the most efficient but I am 1 month away from 2 years of ownership and only have 5300 miles so…. efficiency isn’t my top priority. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

Finally added the Lariat Take-Off seat covers from Ebay. Not a bad deal ($160), had the rear 60 seat modified to remove the armrest ($200), so $360 all in. It took me three days to do the install, taking my time. A couple of observations:

1) The Lariat front seat bottom covers were slightly different than the factory cloth covers (the Lariat ones did not include one of the plastic clip rails at one of the seams). Instead it had velcro. I ended up doing like another person on YouTube and adding a velcro strip to the cushion at that seam, which worked well.

2) The Lariat rear center headrest was a different size (larger) than the factory XLT headrest. I added a piece of 1/2" foam to the back of my factory headrest cushion to take up the extra space in the larger Lariat center headrest cover.

3) The seat heaters don't seem to work as quickly or get as hot as with the factory fabric seat covers.

4) This project is ALOT of work, take your time, do one seat at a time if you need, no rush! Take lots of pictures when you disassemble so that you can route the harnesses/cables etc back to the right places.

Wasn't a complicated project, just time consuming. I've never done anything with upholstery before, and I think most DIY'ers should be able to handle this one.
