My first Error Code: Fix? post 33 & 38

Yep, it was in fact the cabin coolant heater, aka the auxiliary heater.

Obviously this was a warranty repair, but if not it looks like it would have cost roughly $1,500. Sigh...

Interestingly, I just heard this morning that a friend of mine was driving in his 2500 truck (don't know which one he has) and his battery blew up, crumpling the hood and catching the vehicle on fire. Ended up totaled. The responding firefighters asked him what kind of battery and he told them "Interstate." They said it was the 3rd Interstate battery fire they'd responded to in the last month or so.

Just as an update, the new heater assembly hasn't cured the fogging interior issue. The windows will still just randomly fog over while driving with the HVAC in Auto mode and set to 72F. This is particularly true of the rear door windows, but occasionally even the front door windows or windshield will do it.

I guess it's just a product of the difference between ICE and EV systems and how they operate. I've grown used to being able to hit the Auto button and then never touch any other controls.

But, so far no more warning lights on the dash and everything is functioning as designed. Hopefully it'll stay this way.

Does it clear if you press “Max defrost?”

Keep an eye on the coolant level. The tank is on the driver's side and can be seen with the frunk open through the frunk actuator slot. It is common for this to need topping up in a few days after a repair like your heater.

Mine has been at correct level since the day I brought it home. When I got the truck back from the dealership after the repair I checked it again and they had restored it to correct level. So no issues there (and no leaks, thankfully).
