- 2022 Lightning ER, 2025 XC90 Recharge
100% preference.
This is subjective. Many people, like myself, do not like the feel of 1-pedal driving in any environment. I still manage to get fantastic efficiency. 18k miles avg is 2.5mpk, and my non-road trip average (work and weekend errands) is 2.8mpk. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.but even in an EV like the Lightning with the blended brakes, the 1-pedal is just a more satisfying and user-friendly setup for that driving environment.
You have to push really hard to engage the physical brakes. In such instances, I would argue that 1-pedal driving would also require the additional braking.A firmer braking regenerative and also applies the brakes.
