So took a road trip from Seattle to Mt hood and truck wouldn't charge on any charger that I tried. First one the light turned RED which i thought was cause it was a Tesla Supercharger. Then I tried 3 other types all with a ORANGE indicator. Me freaking out with 17% left and 100 miles still to drive, got in to drive to the next and got a Service engine(lol) soon indicator light. Then about 6 notifications on my app. One good thing was that requesting a tow was very easy! Way easier than Teslas was. Now all I have to do ia wait till Monday? Maybe to find out what's wrong.

The truck needs a new BECM. Battery control module. The service dealer ordered the part yesterday and still shows NO ETA. They have requested a rental car from Ford for me. 11872 miles on my truck. Was wondering if going from 12v charging(only thing my parents had) to supercharger overloaded it.

I'm not certain what the common causes of a failed BECM are, it might just be random component failures, there have been others fail out of the blue, I doubt the AC charging or DCFC caused the failure.

So update on the vehicle, I guess my first service representative was on his way out the door and didn't give me the correct information. Apparently the locking actuator went bad and the truck won't charge with any error codes. So good news for me they dont have to pull my battery. Bad news is I have to wait 3 more days cause they ordered the wrong part.

I'm curious which locking actuator failed? There are several.
The charge port locking actuator locks the DCFC gun to the port when charging and I can see that disabling charging since the charge port isn't functioning as intended.
The differential locking actuator is a drivetrain lock and I can see that might throw the error message you have but I'm surprised that would not allow you to charge.

Let us know which actuator failed so we can add it to the knowledge base.

Thanks for the update. This is the charge door latch actuator. It looks like it is part of the charge port indicator and unlock button, so a failure must have disabled charging since you can't stop charging with the button on failure. I guess Ford considers the charge port door as part of the powertrain. The upside, it should have been a pretty simple fix.

Damn, damn, damn. This is kinda what I suspected and I really wanted to know if pulling the manual release woulda fixed it. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Glad it was simple. I'm at just under 16K miles on my 24 Flash and knock on wood, have not had any issues... GSM replaced on the service advisory a month or two ago.

So this actuator was to release the charge door NOT the cable? Makes the door even more stupid than it already is!!!
