Now showing shipped. There's no carrier information on the OrderTrack page and the PalsApp hack appears to be broken, at least for Chrome.

Original Post 5/21:

Someone on reddit says they got notification that their Lightning Platinum had been built. I took it with a grain of salt, but confirmed that at least one other truck shows built status. Both the trucks are Platinums and had build dates of 4/12/22 and 4/15/22.

Hopefully that means that more of us will be getting the same news very soon.

Good news for sure.

Now we just have to be patient while we wait for the rail transport, finding truckers to transport to dealers, and dealers doing a PDI before you can get your hands on it.....

We gotta take this for what it is and really zoom out.

With this event, we still have no trackers showing shipped. Its telling us something we've known. That lightnings have been built.

As for the email that says "we will ship your truck soon"... Well they said that on April 26th. So this is not really a change is it.

The customer facing tracker seems to get it's updates at the time the next action is occurring.

This truck might actually be queued for shipping or already released to the rail car, so in this case they let the customer know It's built, the anticipation builds while traveling down the rail.

When it's received by the selling dealer, receipt & control acknowledges the transportation stage has completed, sometime after we have rolled off the lot, the paperwork on the sale is logged, the tracker finally shows "Final Preparations".

If the same IT guys work on that software as manages the internal websites technicians use you can forget it ever working right or updating correctly. As much as I loved working as a Ford Tech and do now as a Service Manager, I am astonished that a company with a 50 billion dollar market cap can't maintain their network infrastructure and software.

This vehicle did not have a bedliner on its sticker, so can't blame that.

I think that right there proves that Ford's tracker is not working right. If that truck is indeed shipped, it would not be going alone.

And I firmly believe based on my previous five F-150 orders and experience with Ford's customer order progress tracker over the years that this behavior is intentional.

They know exactly what they're doing.

So don't expect them to fix something that's working just the way they want it to. If they wanted to 'fix' this they would have done that years ago.
