What do I do if I don’t see this section?

This update was supposed to add them but lot of folks are reporting it didn't. You can wait until Ford does a replacement OTA or enable them with FORScan.

Yeah but they won't do that unless they are being paid to do other things. I tried twice already - and they were even doing other things on my truck. So screw it, I don't really care so much about that feature to beg for it. Yet another failed experience with Ford (again, thankfully the driving experience is so damn good)

I agree with you about the drive experience, best vehicle I have driven and I own a Tesla, but Ford needs to understand that software goes hand in hand with an electric vehicle. I am assuming the point of spending millions of dollars on development and research is to successfully CONTINUE to sell the electric truck right? I have to admit that Tesla swallows Ford whole when it comes to the software side of these vehicles

I'm having the same issues as most everyone else on this thread. I got the update, but when I go into settings, there's no way to select the WAL feature. I coincidentally had a service appointment with Ford today for a different issue and asked them to take a look at this as well. I'm not super hopeful but will let everyone know if I get lucky and they are able to troubleshoot the issue.

Yes it is rolling out to non EAP.

Funny thing though, I had a BCM update recall last week and the dealer updated it at the dealer. I found I had WAL after I came home and found the truck had locked on its own.

Today I received the OTA update that said it enabled WAL (it has been working for a week.). It did not add the Contol option in the Lock Screen within the sync system that I can find though .

I have been in this boat. For the last 6 months I've owned my used truck the doors have just locked when I walked away. No toggle in the system.

Hey I’m just thrilled that it defaulted to on.

I have really enjoyed it since it was delivered with the BCM recall update.

Well I received the update and it defaulted to off. And yes I have the factory keypad...

I do have the approach feature turned off... I wonder if it's tied to that feature as the way to enable or disable WAL.

Edit: I am referring to the welcome lighting feature being off...

I don’t have unlock on approach, just the lock on walk away. . That’s a good thing for me since I didn’t get the controls.

I mis represented the "welcome lighting" feature as the Approach... That is what I have turned off. I'll test tomorrow to see if that's the trick to activate the WAL.

2023 lariat just got this update. No toggles. First update in months.

It also updated my Sync version to 25094, Revision 1779.
