Putco Illuminated Front Emblem Installed

What fuse did you use and/or did you run your wires away from the antenna?

I believe it was 48? The same one shown in the install videos, I followed them exactly so my wires run very near the antenna. I presumed I would have no radio so didn't even try using it for a few weeks until I happened to turn it on, and all my preset stations sounded great. Now I have AM after an update, and the hockey game comes in just a lousy as it does on every other radio I own ?

He might just have a nice dealer. Rock chips aren't covered under warranty. If you do get it replaced, have a PPF applied to it or it will just chip up again.

Just did mine and I haven't noticed any radio interference. The only thing I did that was different is that I added shrink tubing over the plug-in joint. Don't know if that had anything to do with it (should have probably tested before and after. oops). But anyways just wanted to mention that radio interference is not a for sure thing with the Putco emblem.

For anyone that has upgraded to the LED emblem I was wondering if you might be interested in selling me your original emblem. I'm looking for the original emblem as I hit a deer that ran out onto the highway at night back in December and it destroyed my grill and plastic emblem. The camera and bracket that holds the camera to the emblem is still good. The body shop that is repairing my 2024 Oxford White F-150 Lightning Flash can't deliver the truck back to me until it's complete and this emblem part is on backorder by ford with no delivery date in sight. I believe the body shop as I've tried to source it from ebay and ever where else and it's just not available. The body shop has ordered a couple other variations hoping it would fit but it looks like the 2024 Lightning (flash?) version is different that what is used on the ICE.

Let me know. I understand some of you might be keeping it to return back to stock but I'm willing to make it worth your while just to get my truck back in my garage.

The emblem has a notch for the camera module to fit into, but they are separate parts. Same goes for the washer nozzle if you have that option.

Yes the camera and bracket that holds the camera can be moved over.

Has anyone had any issues with there installation. The threaded rods that you attach to the emblem don’t line up properly with my 2024 ford lightning grill. Putco advised me to order the ones for the 2024 as they said ford changed the emblems but on there website it shows a different t part number for the lightnings.

Repin the putco harness...

I got the harness for the F-250/350 discounted off eBay.

Instead of re-soldering, I just repinned it.

Gently pry this facade off.

Pull off the waterproof gaskets and back piece

Lift up a little black tabs holding the pins and pull them out from behind

Pull them through the gasket and back piece, and reinsert where they need to go.


The male side is much easier.

Take some needle nose and pull the facade out until it clicks flush with the end of the pins.

Then push the pin forward that you want to pull out. Put a paperclip in the little hole and pull it back out the back. You don't even need to remove the waterproof gasket or back piece.

When all of the pins are back where they need to be, tape it up.

Why putco doesn't sell this for the lightning is beyond me.



These tools and the paper clip are all you need.
