I've had this theory shot down before on this site but here goes... Owner of a late build 2025 Plantium with the latest software. 98% of the time, Sport Mode remains active when the truck is started but will switch to Normal Mode the moment Android Auto loads. The two are related. Prove me wrong.

Turn off your wireless projection, it will do it anyway. Thats not to say they aren't related, maybe something about booting the projection system causes it. But my wireless projection is off and regardless if I plug in my phone or not it's gonna turn 'off', not that it was on anyway.

Edit: Actually, turn your phone off and go for a drive, it'd provide another data point where we can perhaps narrow it down.

I have iOS - It's become a game to try to get my truck to stay in Sport mode - eventually I'll probably have an accident because of all the screwing around with the UI I need to do in order to get the truck to switch into Sport mode - weeeeeeee

Truck wouldn't switch to sport mode today for me. Dash stayed blue when started. Went into the settings and I was greeted with this....I guess I am only allowed to use normal mode now.

I've seen it a couple times on the forum, you can try searching it, maybe an APIM or 12v reset.

I'm still digging up further info, but from what I'm seeing it is a bug and should be fixed in an upcoming OTA.

I want my truck to stay in sport mode unprompted. my Tesla can do this. why can't ford?

In a previous post I stated the Sport mode is related to Android Auto connecting as they both appear to switch at the same time. I was asked to turn off my phone to see if that is the problem. With the phone off, Sport mode return to Normal mode so this is not related.
