Just checking if anyone else is experiencing this rust up in the front suspension area. This is a 25 flash I got July last year. It has been a brutal winter but should I be worried

I wouldn't worry about it, the upper control arms are beefy steel.

The joys of living in chemical road states! Just clean and hit it with some black rustoleum. Good as new! I touch mine up every 2 years or so in spring. Same for trailer hitch, etc. Just go to an old parking lot and give it 10 mins after you're done so no dripping.

Thank you for this response, Im not very handy but I wonder if you can answer this based on your recommendation I will jack up the truck with factory scissors jack. I was wondering if I should purchase a hydraulic jack but everything i see online id like 2 ton and lower isnt the truck 7 tons because of battery or will these jacks work as its just a corner?

No, the truck is not 7 tons, 14,000 pounds... The truck, empty, is just under 7,000 pounds. If you are jacking just one spot, a 2 ton jack is fine, but don't work under the truck without jack stands.

Since you’re only lifting one corner of the truck at a time you’re not lifting the entire 7k pounds of weight. So a 2 or 3 ton floor jack should work fine. But make sure you are putting the jack under the designated arrows (lift points) on the frame. And get a jack that can lift very high, like 18-20 inches at least so you can lift it high enough to get the wheel off. Oh and loosen the wheel lugs before you start lifting.

I wouldn't use the rubberized stuff--it actually traps moisture and causes more rust over time. Just good old rustoleum works great! No need to jack it up. Just use some old plastic grocery bags and some masking tape and cover stuff up you don't want painted. Doesn't need to be perfect. Just hit the rusty areas close up you can fit the can in there without a jack.
