It is amazing how slow Ford is to move on this. Originally they were supposed to contact dealers with the fix in Mid March. Then they were going to send out recall notices to customers at the end of March.
They haven't identified the fix yet...seem like it should be pretty simple, either replace the defective modules, or, replace the entire battery pack. Seems with Lightning production down there should be plenty of manufacturing capacity for either.
Probably what it really means is that they haven't figured out how to pay for it, and, since there are only 960 of us that are suffering they don't have to worry about it.
In the meantime if one of us catches on fire and we charged the battery above 80% well, you were warned and you shouldn't have done that.
My biggest fear is this will be like getting the Home Integration System fixed and working. I've been waiting 2 years for that.
I was really hoping to have a full charge for my long road trips this summer.
