Wondering if I'm just an isolated situation, but is anyone else having problems with Ford.com or Ford Pass login credentials?

My Ford.com account got locked this morning, which impacts Ford Pass access and anything related to my online Ford accounts.

I tried password reset procedure a couple times, with same result of a non-descript error code in a red outlined box below the password field on web browser and on the Ford Pass app it appears above the email address field.

Spent some time with 1-800 accounts and Ford Pass specialists, no solution yet as to why my account is "LOCKED" but I should have a resolution 1-5 days.

Back ground:

I am testing a Charge Smart Ma app for my local utility [National Grid Mass}, it requires contact with my Ford Pass account to read the trucks charging log's, I'm wondering if this is the root issue, maybe a tightening of security at Ford to not trust the Charge Smart Ma system has caused the account lock.

This is 100000% why the account was locked. You will need to remove access and have support unlock your account.

Very few, if any, 3rd parties are currently authorized to use the FordPass API. It is a bigger issue that needs addressing

Agreed. Several Mach-E owners have had this happen after hooking up with 3rd parties.

I would hope they [Charge Smart] have some sort of interim connectivity agreement while vetting the program and process with regular customers.

I also got a communication from Charge Smart Ma this afternoon, following up on an open ticket regarding inaccurate charge session data, they responded with "though we don't [officially] support the F150 Lightning, the app does have some capabilities to connect though not reliably, apparently session tokens are expiring. When this happened I made a new connection, this would happen once every few days to several times a day.

At the moment I suspended the app, cleared cache and credentials so that it does not (as far as the app is concerned) try to interface with Ford Pass cloud.

More communication from Charge Smart Ma / National Grid, other testers have had similar experiences with disconnections recently, they are advancing communications with the Ford to determine solutions.

No follow-up from Ford yet, lets see what Friday brings.....

With it being about 48 hours since lock out, not satisfied with response time, I used an alternate email address and reregistered Ford Pass with that and my VIN, which means resetting all my preferences, profile, XM, charging home location, plug & charge profile, etc. Happy to see that the extended warranty is visible under new pass account since it's attached to my VIN. Trial periods for Blue Cruise, Alexa, etc. are also VIN tied until my 3rd year anniversary.

All is working well with new profile at this time, I was able to cash out all the points on the old pass number with the purchase of bed accessories yesterday so even if they unlock my old profile, not much motivation to go back to it.

The Charge Smart App is working with the new profile as well, hoping it does not lock up again!

I opened the Charge Smart app this morning for the first time since last Thursday and I didn't need to reconnect my Ford Pass account. This was the first time it just worked. I tried again just now and the same thing. Hopefully Charge Smart or EV connect fixed something. ?

Iโ€™ve received this email a few times, but iโ€™ve yet to be locked out.
optiwatt is what I think had access. Iโ€™ve since disconnected since I donโ€™t see any benefit since I am unable to use TOU charging.

Iโ€™m still not getting charger insights from ford CSP.

Iโ€™m still not getting charger insights from ford CSP.
Interesting point, with my new account, I have not been able to get the FORD PASS Charge Station tile under accounts to configure with the FCSP terminal name and password, I think it's stuck with the original account that was unlocked this morning.

Tried clearing all cache and stored credentials, uninstalled and reinstalled both apps and and even a full re-configuration of the FCSP set-up process, still a no go, resulting in no longer having the ability to see a little more detail about my charging events, a minor loss as I get enough with the Charge Smart Ma app.

Hopefully I don't get anymore security reports, but IF I do, one lesson learned, DO NOT log out of Ford Pass as doing so breaks the session, leaving you locked out until they unlock the server account.

Carry your FOB and don't depend on PAAK while testing anything, be it FORD apps testing or third party apps testing!!

I bit the bullet and spent the last couple hours restoring my original Ford Pass profile, had to go through the motions of restoring all my preferred XM channels, retrain the seat & FOB settings, rebuild the home charging profile preferences, etc.

Then I tested the Ford Pass tile for Insights to the FCSP charging events, it connects once again, so that proves that initial configuration tied to a specific Ford Pass account is remembered in the Ford cloud, there is a way to delete that profile, but only if you have access to the locked account, I suppose Ford Pass C/S could clean out the configuration.

Now that I'm back on my original profile, the one benefit is, that I earned 15,000 points when I purchased the bed accessories last week, minor consolation to getting this access restored.
