has anyone else had this update fail multiple times? It's telling me the reason for the failure is that the battery is low. Per car scanner, my 12v battery was at 86% (and the HVB at 80%) when it failed twice this morning - one scheduled, one manually requested). The two other updates this week installed first time as usual. Any one else seen this?
Yes. I’m dealing with it and can’t get the update to complete. I replaced 12v with Ohmmu H3+ and can see it starts at 100% and then starts going down while the update starts its prep. Then the car spits out the low battery message but the 12v is only at 98%. I have an OBD connector on the truck and it knows the 12v battery is at or near 100%. 12v battery was replaced 7m ago preemptively and I did the bms reset process properly. No issues with the update done a few weeks ago, just this one.

When I got this message before, someone looked into PTS and gave me the complete error message. It indicated that the update required a certain amount of "capacity" (amp-hours??) and my battery would have less than that if the upodate ran, including rollback. It would eventually work by keeping the 12V on a trickle charger for quite a long time (1-2 days).

Did you get the BMS replaced a few years ago during the recall? That was definitley a help back then for the inhibit updates.

I don’t believe my truck was part of the BMS recall. The only recalls or dealership work done was software update related. I’ve unplugged all accessories and anything that could be using 12v while it’s doing the pre install check. My Ohhm battery is at 100% when it starts so the only other thing I can do is put it on a trickle charger while it’s doing the update. I believe I read that somewhere in the forums.

You should read this post on the CSP. It was applicable to some 2023's. Your BMS part number should not end in AC or AD. Should be Bx.

I would also unplug your OBD dongle and not use apps like CarScanner while trickle charging. May not be required but you don't want any loads - keep the modules asleep.

Hopefully your BMS sees a nice steady 13.6 volts applied to the battery with minimal quiescent current and gives the OTA a thumbs up at some point. Let it do the scheduled 1:00 am attempt and try not to do Update Now.

I've had to go through this several times on my truck. If I left it alone for a 1-3 days on the charger it would eventually work overnight.

Mine failed too. First time I’ve had this issue. Going to throw it on the tender when I get home from work and see if it will update.

You're right! PPOB with the truck off is working for me now. 2022 Lariat ER.

Just got this update (PT-25.13.12) last night. Already had applied the Forscan mod a while ago - and before last night's update, in the Pro Power app the "Keep On When Vehicle Off" setting used to toggle off right after trying to enable it. Now it stays put.

It's an improvement to be able to use PPOB this way, but the implementation is a bit silly. Next time I turn the truck on it toggles this setting back to off. I'd rather it stays enabled until I choose to disable it.

With the way they implemented it I have to remember to go into the Pro Power app and turn on the toggle if I think I might plan to use PPOB while the truck is off.
Just got the update. Is there a thread that walks through the FORscan changes to enable PPOB “Keep On When Vehicle Off”

12/12 free replacement of 12v battery, prorated after that. There might be a little bit of compensation left but don't expect much.
Actually the battery is included in the 36 month, three year warranty. Many have gotten it replaced completely free right before the 3/36 expired.

Went to leave for work this morning and my set departure and cabin warm up did not go through. Then noticed it charged to 100% and got the notification that the update went through. 2023 Lariat ER. Lost all my saved charging settings and locations. Awesome!

That's a shocker. Pun intended. Must be good will replacements. Warranty is typically prorated on batteries and tires.

This doesn't appear to have been released for 2024s yet that I see. Love the locking feature needing a key nearby.

I wondered why my Lightning was charged to 100% this morning. The 25.13.12 update installed overnight and had deleted my saved Charging Locations… @Ford Motor Company

I'll grab some details from you both via DM. The team wants to figure out what has happened here (beyond the obvious).
