For those of you that have WAL and not the toggles, you do not need to wait for this OTA for the toggles. They can easily be enabled with FORScan:

Thanks. Most don’t use FORSCAN unfortunately. We don’t have the tools/know how so we wait. For those of you that have WAL and not the toggles, you do not need to wait for this OTA for the toggles. They can easily be enabled with FORScan:

Agreed that most don't use it; mostly because people are scared of it. If they only knew how quick and easy this was to fix, it would make their heads' spin. I always make the recommendation. Whether people will take the plunge or not is up to them.Thanks. Most don’t use FORSCAN unfortunately. We don’t have the tools/know how so we wait.
I think the overhead of actually needing to buy things for it is the main stopper. Not the ease of doing it.Agreed that most don't use it; mostly because people are scared of it. I don't want to derail this thread, but I think you may be confusing FORScan with FDRS. FORScan is free and the adapter is $30. If anyone has questions about it, feel free to message me.I think the overhead of actually needing to buy things for it is the main stopper. Not the ease of doing it.
I’m not. $30 is still something to buy.I don't want to derail this thread, but I think you may be confusing FORScan with FDRS. FORScan is free and the adapter is $30. If anyone has questions about it, feel free to message me.
Ya, I think if I had someone local that could walk me through it the first time, it would be second nature very quickly. I have programed PLC's in the past, but that was 10 years ago when I was working at the treatment Plant.Agreed that most don't use it; mostly because people are scared of it. For the price of a set of wipers or a cabin air filter, you can maintain and customize your $40-$90k vehicle. Each person has different priorities.I’m not. $30 is still something to buy.
Alright I’m sold. Link me on what I need. I’ll order it right now so everyone can put their pitchforks away.Agreed that most don't use it; mostly because people are scared of it. I'm confused by this. Your 2024 always had WAL with the toggles. 22's and 23's had neither. When 22-23's got the Frunk (BCM) update, it did not include the toggles. This latest APIM update (this thread) says it disables WAL.Last Thursday OTA included the toggles
My WAL on my 2022 is also inconsistent, and I am using PaaK. I could walk several feet away and it would honk or I can walk on the driver side (just plugging in the truck) and it would honk and scare the crap out of me.I do hope that it really improves WAL. My complaint is that it’s very inconsistent. Sometimes once the last door is closed it locks in a couple of seconds. Other times I could walk a football field away before it decides to lock. I’ve said before it should be like GM’s version where it’s just a timer. Once the last door is closed 10 seconds and doors lock no matter whether you’re right next to it or 100ft away.
Yep. Same for me. Hopefully we get this update to make it better. My WAL on my 2022 is also inconsistent, and I am using PaaK. I could walk several feet away and it would honk or I can walk on the driver side (just plugging in the truck) and it would honk and scare the crap out of me.
