Not quite true on iOS phones at least.

When you select one of those Tesla chargers there’s a little directional arrow to the right of the name

Press that and I get my choice of navigating using Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze

While the phone is doing the navigating, it will appear up on my Sync screen in CarPlay.
Hah... I never thought of trying Android Auto. Thanks!

Yeah that's the screen which lists all the Tesla SUperchargers.

I have a 12-inch screen... I'll try it.

Unfortunately, I realized this Summer and Fall that Android Auto locks out my email downloads onto the Sync for checking while the car is in motion, so I quit using it. I generally prefer the built-in stuff anyway rather than phone projections onto the OEM systems.

So I got to use the new updates this evening. I used the ford nav to route home from New Jersey I was at 52% charge and would need 1 charge stop on the way home. It routed me to a Tesla supercharger!!! That is so nice to have built in to the nav.
It is great to see this working.

It's sad it only took Ford 2.5 years to make it happen. Anyone wonder why there are rumors that the Lightning could be discontinued? They simply can't play and keep up with the information side of an EV. Maybe with their new platforms, whatever that might be.

While I'm not a big CarPlay/AA fan (Tesla did everything and more faster in my 3) I can see why some manufactures should be embracing Car Play Ultra and whatever next system Google puts out. It lets Ford focus on the car and lets Apple/Google and app makers do the integrations for them. Ford has to focus faster on things like an API for battery conditioning when headed to a SC. It was a simple switch to add 2.5 years ago and Apple and Google could have fixed the situation within a couple of weeks.

I concur. However, we're still wating for that one -- 2 - 1/2 years after the announcement and 1 - 1/2 years after the chargers were opened to us.

These updates are not out for 22-23 yet. Not OTA or in FDRS

I heard of it, but not have it. I will look into what it involves to get.
Adapter, battery supply, and subscription. You're looking at well over $1,000.

Can you check your charging menu on the screen.. I am curious if the OTA reconfigured the APIM to add the enhanced charge menu. If you hadnt done it already in Forscan

Jace in the Facebook group mentioned that he didn't have the enhanced charging screen on his 24 Platinum after the update.

Does this auto load into Ford Nav? Just curious if it can be used so the truck preconditions the battery.
