I just got my new Lightning a week ago and ordered the adaptor. Currently it is saying that it would arrive sometime in October. I am planning a trip out to Kansas City for a baseball tournament and was wondering if anyone had the same delay in delivery and what the actual delivery time actually looked like.

Rick described it best. Get your A2ZEV Typhoon adaptor and the Tesla destination adaptor. Read his post. The A2Z adaptor will arrive from Canada. Good company, great people, solid dependable products. When you get the Ford provided adaptor, do what you want with either one.
I am keeping mine. I do have an A2Z adaptor on hand. Remember also that these adaptors will not last for ever. The more you use them, they will degrade until failure. When, it will be up to how much you use them.

I don't believe its a delay as much as it is Tesla having to ramp up production for Ford / Rivian currently.

Here is a screenshot from a Ford Mach-E day 3 order (March 2nd, 2024) with August 2024 estimate. It's always been August estimate since the initial order was submitted.

You can use Plugshare to map out CCS charging stations along your route and also use Tesla Find Us to locate Magicdock chargers which have built in adapter to go from NACS to CCS / Tesla Superchargers which require Level 3 DCFC NACS to CCS adapters like A2Z Typhoon.

Just want to check if Ford is actually meeting the revised shipping dates for the Tesla Adapters?

My original shipping was “ By May 2024” which got updated to “By June 2024”

I read this as meaning your adapter will ship at the end of May before June!

I have to drop my daughter to camp on June 9th and the location of her camp being in the NC Mountains there’s not a lot of charging options but Tesla does have a good few that are open to Lightning’s. Obviously need the adapter.

Has anybody who was updated to “By June 2024” received their adapter yet?

Worse case I’ll take an ICE vehicle but prefer to use the Lightning ?.

Which means it will likely be the best adapter. It won't have a recall like one of the 3rd party, but correct, you never know the timing. It's a freebie.

You may already know, but many Supercharger sites will not support use of the adapter, whether a V2 site or just not updated because Tesla... fired Supercharger team I guess.

Hit the Tesla Supercharger "Find Us" and filter on "Supercharger Open to NACS" to see sites that should work in your path. I'm noting that Plugshare's "NACS (Tesla)" filter does not catch this, but I think ABRP will if you have the Lightning selected as the vehicle used.

There is at least one that Tesla and Ford show as available (new site built last November) that no longer works with the adapter. Nags Head, NC.
