We were at the football game a few days ago and I went to pre climate condition the truck just before the game was over. I could see the truck from the seats in the stands. I remotely turned on the heater, the whole truck lit up like a christmas tree. I figured maybe it does that on start up, but it stayed on the entire time the truck was preconditioning. Any way to have the lights go off? Seemed like a lot of extra attention drawn to the truck. I was wainting for the annoucer to say someone left their lights on in the parking lot. LOL.

Still new but I think you only have 2 options, turn the lights off before exiting the truck or scheduling a departure time instead of the climate button. There may be a third with Forscan but I haven't played around with enough to know for sure, since I run on a Mac running in a virtual machine I am reticent to try doing anything more than reading errors and clearing codes.

Yea, it's annoying. I have Silent (Dark) mode enabled in FORscan and also the headlights changed to default to whatever they were set for when truck turned off (normally OFF) and yet the running lights still come on when either a scheduled departure or manually turning on climate.

That's weird, mine are off for a scheduled departure, but all of my scheduled departures have been before 7 pm, don't know if that factors into the calculus

I use a Mac with Apple M2 chip and run ForScan in WinXP with an app called UTM. Did run all my VW sw in the same XP machine before. It's stable.

I have the same problem as OP. Remote heating is very visible in a dark parking lot.

He remote started, not a scheduled departure.

Before I retired, I had a scheduled departure for every weekday at 0530 (always in the dark). The lights were always on when I went outside. When I retired I cancelled the scheduled departure, but I do use remote start rather regularly for cooling during the day and the lights are always turned on. Since I'm just sitting here on the recliner and 15 feet from the truck, I'm going to do a test and set a scheduled departure in a short while and see what it does (in daylight).

Yeah, scheduled departure doesn't really work for me since my schedule is all over the map, or i guess calendar so I just use the climate button now. FWIW, I love the truck lighting up because it makes it easy to find when I walk out of work in the early morning 😂

Same here after retiring. No more 0453 alarm clock and 0530 or so departure - he says with a smile...

Result of test. Set a scheduled departure of 1130 Tuesday. About 5 minutes before, the Ford app showed Climate on, and walking outside I could hear the heat pump and the lights are on.

Interesting, wonder if its your DRL setting? Just scheduled mine and my DRL setting is off. Will the Ford's app update the departure time? Will the Lightning still be connected to the charger? Will the lights come on? Tune in, in one hour. Same truck-time, same truck-forum.

Another interesting variable. I have the DRLs turned off using FORscan. When I did my test the truck was not plugged in.
