I was looking at a 2025 Lighting with a little over 1000 mile on the odometer. The Carfax reports that the upper ball joints were replaced. I don't remember any recalls on them. Any thoughts?
my driver rear axle was replaced, back about 40,000 miles in... it was simply my noticing a substantial amount of 'dry grease' sprayed all over/around the suspension area, probably from a split/leaking grease boot.
Ford replaced it with a new axle, at no cost, since it is part of the 'powertrain' coverage up to 8years/100,000 miles... they can't simply replace a boot, they replace the whole 18"-24" axle, with new boots integral on both ends.

Issue: On certain F-150 Lightning (electric) trucks, the nuts for the ball joints that connect the front upper control arms to the steering knuckles may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper control arms could separate from the knuckles. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect for loose and/or missing nuts. If any loose or missing nuts are found, the dealer will replace the steering knuckle(s) and nut(s).
I just had one of mine replaced, the teck thinks that maybe it didn't get greased when they built my truck. They had a tremor in a week prior with the same issue and it has the same part as the lightning. Mine is a 23my.
