How (+ what/how much $) does Tesla bill users for charging on their network?

You need to install their app and look. Their price varies by location and time of day. Here in Texas they seem to be cheaper than Electrify America.

You can check prices at various locations using their website as well as the app. https://www.tesla.com/findus

Deselect "Destination chargers" and "Superchargers" to leave "Superchargers open to NACS" (you need an adapter) and "Superchargers open to other EVs" (magic dock) showing.

If you have a subscription with Tesla you can knock 20% off those prices. But then you must enable the charger using the Tesla app before plugging in. Plug and charge will be full price.

I did the same, purchase the membership, but when I connect to the SuperChargers it seems Ford takes over and starts the charging session. I don’t even get a change to open the Tesla app and initiate my charging session. DO I need to do that before I connect the Lighting to the charger?
Thanks.

Try authorizing the session in the Tesla App before plugging in.
If that fails also, then switch off the FordPass Plug & Charge function.
Remember to turn it on when NOT using a Tesla station.

$7 for EA. $12.99 for Tesla.

Must activate charger BEFORE plugging in, otherwise Plug and Charge takes over.

Lightning.
