Bluecruise 1.4 officially being sent out to F150 & Lightnings starting today (12/11/24)!

For some reason...I don't know why...they sent an OTA out that updated the IPMA/PSCM with the necessary software to provide the BC 1.4 functionality, but have yet to send an APIM update out that adds those toggles you see in that picture. Maybe the APIM update will show up next week or the week after.

It is likely that whoever took that picture used FORSCAN to add the toggles to the menu. I have done that myself.

I just leased a 2024 Flash at the end of November. I haven't had any OTA software updates as of today and haven't done anything to modify my truck, but I have both of those settings (In-Lane Repositioning and Lane Change Assist). Does that mean mine came with BC 1.4? I wish there was a easier way to tell...

Nah, Ford needs to release a new IPC updates for the 21-23 trucks to get the pretty animations the Mach E has.

The CSP FSA (24B56) will still likely be attached to your VIN (as it is right now) and will stay that way until your dealer service advisor clears it, or months and months from now somebody runs a script on the server and figures out that your truck was updated by an OTA or a tech, or by you with your personal FDRS subscription.

I don't think anyone at Ford pays attention to that. My truck still shows 21G01 pending and I did it myself a little over 3 years ago at this point.

I was looking for a way see if BC 1.4 was installed on my truck and found this picture; it looks BC 1.4 adds the In Lane Repositioning and the Lane Change Assist options. My settings menu still doesn’t have these options.

Anyone that got this OTA can turn buttons on by making the following FORScan changes:

From my experiences as a person who always has had lane centering turned off while using cruise control only and have very rarely been using BC, it changed this. Now with BC 1.4 when I turn on cruise control on the interstate it defaults to turning on lane centering and with that one button of turning on cruise control my truck now defaults lane centering to on and starts BC driving immediately. In the past my lane centering stayed off, then I would have to turn it on, then wait for BC to eventually start. The caveat for me is when not using BC, I now have to turn off lane centering each time.

Reminds me of the sport driving mode change sticky setting that went away and changed some time ago. Reminiscent of the Paula Abdul song lyrics “One step forward, two steps back….”

Mine started doing this after I had the CSP done for the front sensors. Annoys the heck out of me.

Same here with no new updates since 12/4/24 (the update that ensured we would now receive "seamless" updates in the future ). Still waiting on both new updates (the Google Maps EV routing update and now BC 1.4).

I leased a 24 Lariat at the end of November. Google maps wasn't showing battery estimates, so I knew I wasn't up to date completely. Looking on ford.com, it showed my truck hadn't been updated in over 90 days. I had auto updates turned on. After a week of checking daily, still no update.

I'm not sure if what I did below caused my updates or if it was a coincidence that they started the night after taking these steps. But I thought I'd let others know.

I checked for DTC codes using the CarScanner app. There were about 6 error codes from various sources. I cleared all of the codes.

My truck received an update that night and another one after a drive the next day. Then it failed the 10.1.0 update. That update didn't retry for several days. I drive the truck to get the 12v battery to 100% SOC in CarScanner. I disconnected the 12v battery for ~15 minutes. I reconnected the battery and performed the battery sensor reset. Then I drove the truck and the update started downloading and successful updated.

I now have Google maps with battery estimates. I have not seen any update notification for BC 1.4, but I do have those two slider settings. I don't know if I have always had them.

Thank you...I too have never had any updates on ford.com and when I connected to my Truck had some DTC codes. I just cleared them, let's see if that initiates any updates.

Hi All,

Can I enable the lane change assist features etc. in Forscan on my 22 Lariat SR Lightning?
My last update was the 6.14.0 and I had dealer due all the other CSP'S.
I'm up to date and have had no OTA'S since 9/26/24.
I have Blue Cruise 1.0 since day one of ownership.
Could I change a few codes and enable the lane assist and centering features of, say, 1.2 Blue Cruise, and would it work?
What are the codes for this, and who can post them for me?
It's apparent I'm not getting 1.4 Blue Cruise anytime soon before my subscription runs out in 2025!
