In regards to this OTA:

Some people that already got this update will get it a second time. I thought this was an issue only affecting the Mach E's, but apparently not. The second version will not update the software, but instead correct the config that is preventing one or more of the BC 1.4 features from working on your truck. Notice in the screenshot below that this version states wifi IS REQUIRED. This is one of very few OTA's Ford has ever sent out that require wifi to install.

Ford F-150 Lightning Bluecruise 1.4 officially being sent out to F150 & Lightnings starting today (12/11/24)! 1740429202909-jy

Wait, so the CSP for the sensor IPMA update was missing configuration data and there is another update for the IPMA that requires wifi to correct the issue?

The CSP version with FDRS of the IPMA update was always missing the config. The OTA version was supposed to write it, but failed to do for many, or failed to write all the config, or failed to write any of the config at all.

But yes, the config only version of the OTA requires wifi according to PTS. I'd be interested to hear if someone does get it without being connected to wifi.

I just got the BC 1.4 OTA now, so Ford is sending these still. Really curious as to what it does as I had enabled BC1.4 last week via the configuration changes @rugedraw shared with me and it works flawlessly. Says it's a 6 minute inhibit install.

All it does is make the same config changes you made. It will take 1-2 minutes in real time.

So your saying there is another pending OTA update for us all to correct config data on the IPMA? Which until then BC 1.4 will not fully function as intended?

Correct. Only owners who have an issue will appreciate this. If you got the BC 1.4 update and lane change, in-lane repo and predictive speed are all working, then this will do nothing for you. If you did get the OTA and one or more of these are not working, then this will fix whatever is not working.

If you got the IPMA updated via the dealer with the CSP, this will enable the features.

I would be curious if this latest round of 1.4 updates have the same release note that Sync updates are coming later. I.e., you don’t have the toggles for Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning (but the functionality is there).

I could be wrong, but that's not what's coming later. I was one of the early 1.4 OTA guys, and I have the toggles. What I don't have is the graphical updates in my instrument cluster. That is what the OTA notes said were coming in a later update.

I also got the early update but I had enabled sliders with FORScan. That’s why I’m curious if this update has notes that said the same thing.

Also curious if the update release at the bottom is still IPMA-24.204.10.9
