So i plugged the truck tonight when I got home. My preferred time to charge starts at midnight. All good the fordpass app shows the truck is waiting to charge. Nothing new. Although I don't know why it says "waiting to charge @" the time I plugged it. To me it should say "waiting to charge @ midnight". Also I'm not a fan of the charge timer being started.

Anyways, I go back outside after a while and to my surprise I keep on hearing the FCSP clicking. Like when it starts charging but then another click like it stops charging. And a few seconds later same thing, on and on.... I never noticed that before so not too sure if it is normal. Will see if the actual charging session will go as usual. But I'm wondering if you guys experienced that behavior?
Light on the FCSP is full blue not blinking.

When I was using restricted times, I usually only heard the clicking of the FCSP once right after initially plugging in the truck, I figure the systems are talking to each other to confirm all is good and ready to charge at the designated time.

How did the charge session go last night?

If the clicking persists, try a power cycle of the FCSP, and the 12v battery in the truck to reset all modules.

Ok so update:
Clicking stopped on its own last night. I went to check one hour later and nothing. Charging session started as expected and ended at 6am which is my preferred end time. 90% SOC was supposed to be reached by 530am but I guess it didn't happened as I'm at 89% after 6 hours charging.

Now this is what I got this morning in the App.

Never had that before as well. I had to unplug the truck and just start it. Everything went back to normal. I checked the LVB soc and it is at 83%. Was 100% 2 weeks ago and 80% a month ago. So I guess it just fluctuates depending on your truck usage.

This would be a symptom of the LVB getting weak, might be time to look for a replacement.

The clicking in an EVSE is the sound the mechanical relays make when engaging/closing to begin charging. The repetitive clicking generally indicates the vehicle and the EVSE are communicating to prepare for charging, and maybe testing the circuits and voltages.

With my 2012 Leaf set to charge overnight, when I first plug in an EVSE a few hours earlier, the Leaf clicks and connects the circuits in the Leaf and the EVSE in preparation for charging, the blue charging light inside flashes like it does when charging and the sound of electrons flowing can be heard (a low pitched hum) as well, but only for a few seconds, and then another click is heard and the Leaf disconnects and the flow of electrons sound stops. The blue light continues to flash indicating a charge is pending. Then at the appointed hour, the Leaf starts charging and a click is heard then the sound of electrons.

I have never noticed more than one click with the FCSP when I used to run the cable under the garage door and I was where I could here it start the communication and charging.

Now I have the charge cable run through an RV access door I put in my garage side panel, so I can keep the garage door closed and locked while charging - my truck doesn't fit inside the garage with the Leaf in there - so I could not hear the clicking if it was happening.

And I am usually not around the FCSP or the truck at 1am when I have the charging set to begin.

Anyway, if the charging went OK, then what you heard I'd guess was probably just normal communication in preparation for a charging session.
