With the warmer weather comes better mileage for want of a better term. I can get 2.5, 2.7 and even 2.9 but never 2.6 or 2.8. I thought last year that those were attainable. Anyone else notice this?

Over what time period? The value for a single trip is mostly meaningless (due to variations in wind speed/direction, uphill/downhill, etc), that number is only reliable as an average over many trips. I use Trip 1 for tracking long term mileage, and I reset it every May 1 and Nov 1 in order to track summer/winter mileage. It's been very consistent for me over the the 2+ years I've been doing this -- I get 2.2 in the winter months and 2.4 in the summer months.

Side note: I really wish they would add another decimal point to this value.

I was referring to the current charge.

I’m pretty sure I see 2.8 occasionally, though it does skip it a lot.
Never 2.6

Not sure about those specific numbers but if you are asking about even and odd numbers. I regularly get 3.2, 3.4, 3.6 in city drives. And sometimes numbers in between.

I got 3.1 yesterday on my drive home (26 miles from DC to Prince William County). My overall since date of purchase 3 years ago and 21,400 miles is 2.7mi/kwh.

The dash has very weird rounding, you'll see 2.6 and 2.8 on the trip status app from center screen.

If I'm understanding your question you are asking about those specific numbers appearing. If that's the case, 2.6 has never appeared for me after 46k miles. Mine skips from 2.5 to 2.7. And it's not like the number .6 isn't there because 1.6 appears when my mi/pkh is lower in the winter.

While I haven’t really paid much attention in my truck, I do know that Mach-Es never show an even number in the tenths position between 3.1 and 3.9.
Probably some Ford programmer thinking “I wonder if anybody will notice this….”

I have noticed the same. Never displays 2.6 and I am over 50k miles now.

I keep track of my mi/kWh on a monthly basis using mileage and kWh added per FordPass.

I also keep track of how much energy was used from the FCSP data. More energy was actually used on the truck because some was wasted as heat during charging, and some was used to precondition the battery before charging, and some for keeping the truck warm on cold nights in Winter.

On some short level ground local trips at no more than 25 mph, I have seen numbers over 3.4.
I was surprised because my 2012 Leaf gets about 4.8, so I expected much worse for the Lightning.

But monthly averages are lower.

In Jan 2025 my monthly average was 1.82mi/kWh
In Feb 2025 it was 1.56mi/kWh
Mar 2025 it was 2.16mi/Kwh
Apr 2025 it was 2.97mi/kWh
May 2025 it was 3.06mi/kWh
