The part I have isn’t part of that recall FYI as the 1x designation is a revised part. It’s a new part as I recently purchased it from Ford dealership.

I'm looking at a rotary shifter with this same part number. Just wanted to get your opinion on it and if there is any reason you would opt for a different shifter or go for the motorized one? Does the shifter shit to park when the door is opened, just via the LEDs and not motorized? Thanks!Interesting. I went back to see what I purchased and installed and don’t find numbers that correspond to the ones you’ve listed.
2020 2021 2022 Ford Escape shifter gear selector knob switch PZ1P-7P155-AC
It works perfectly fine. It does not have motorized return to park, but it does have the blue accent lighting at its base.
I am very satisfied with with my purchase and conversion. The shifter does NOT have the motorized dial and does provide all the expected actions when the door is opened or the vehicle is shutdown while in gear. It also has the blue ring light that adds a little highlight around the base.I'm looking at a rotary shifter with this same part number. From my experience, you will need to specify which dial you are installing to insure it fits and the mounting points line up.Also, has anyone installed the bronco sport rotary shifter? I like the looks of that one better but don't see any part numbers for that in this thread. Is the shifter the same size as the other ones i.e. will the 3d printed parts fit either shifter?
Does auto hold work? And what would happen if you power the car off while not in park?I am very satisfied with with my purchase and conversion. At $100 from eBay that seems like the one to go with in my mind

Auto Hold and Neutral Hold are not the same thing.See post #34 above.
Yes Neutral Hold works with the L button. It has all the necessary functions.
Understand, but the shifter question has generally been about Neutral Hold.Auto Hold and Neutral Hold are not the same thing.
Auto hold is so the car doesn't progress if you have one pedal drive off and you are at a full stop. You can find that in standard gas powered carsUnderstand, but the shifter question has generally been about Neutral Hold.
I’m not sure I know what the shifter has to do with Auto Hold.
🫣 I’m a definite One Pedal driver.Auto hold is so the car doesn't progress if you have one pedal drive off and you are at a full stop. You can find that in standard gas powered cars
100%. Only turn it off in really bad weather conditions or someone who has never driven an EV gets behind the wheel.🫣 I’m a definite One Pedal driver.
Thanks.

So have you heard that auto-hold doesn't work for a variation of the rotary shifter?Auto hold is so the car doesn't progress if you have one pedal drive off and you are at a full stop. You can find that in standard gas powered cars
I just looked over the the shifter I removed and I don’t see anything on it that would have activated Auto Hold. So I don’t think you are losing anything when you switch out to the dial. But hey, I drive solely under one pedal so I have never seen auto hold on my Lightning. I did have and used it on my Mavericks. So have you heard that auto-hold doesn't work for a variation of the rotary shifter?
