He was reviewing the '25 Flash that has been dumbed down a bit from '24. My '25 is missing the power tailgate, spare tire, tailgate step, desk, rear light bar and still AA trip planning. It has the 123 KWH battery as well. Some of those things are options.

The one thing I most agree with is the shifter. It feels cheap and prone to fail. It's only a switch. I really like the rotary mod but not enough to do it.

I was also a bit surprised by his recommendation to buy F150 but stick with ICE.

No more than a regular F 150 and only a concern if you live where they salt the roads AND one doesn't utilize proper maintenance like under carriage washes.

Laziness is essentially the cause of automotive cancer.
Actually, if you watch those videos I referenced earlier in this thread you'll see that the cause of cancer on the F-150 is due to Ford not coating the frame properly and not installing covers over the holes that are all over the frame like swiss cheese. Ford welds the frame along the bottom so that water can't escape easily, but then has lots of holes in the sidewalls of the frame with no tape or protection over them. It's a recipe for disaster. Other automakers don't do this.

It's still a matter of an owner being lazy and not properly washing the under carriage where they salt the roads.

We don't do that where I live so it's ok for me to be lazy about it.
Amen. My lazy-man's carwash does the undercarriage as a matter of course, but we're washing off red mud in GA...not SALT!

I think you're still missing the point. There are holes all over the side of the frame. There are not holes all over the bottom of the frame. Therefore EVEN IF WASHED REGULARLY the road salt is going to sit inside the frame moreso than it should.

Did you even watch the video? The inside of that frame was full of junk, and by looking at the rest of the truck you can tell it is cared for.

Simple solution. Move or do a better job cleaning underneath. End of discussion.
How about FORD blast a couple of drain ports at the bottom of curve where accumulation gathers.

A drive through car wash ain't gonna flush out what is caught in the low-point!

Impractical to move half the nation to points below the freeze belt.

I'm pretty sure that half the nation appreciates not participating in fall Hurricane season though, eh?

Not to belabor this but the point is water itself. If it can’t drain it’s not a good situation regardless if it’s salt or “clean.” If this is the case, it’s a poor design and location of the vehicle is irrelevant. That’s all that’s being said.

Ford can't babysit every person they sell a vehicle to.
The frame designer could have done a better job, so simple from the get go, all low points in the continuous box frame need drain points
