I'm not 100% certain about the reason that the 24hr clock setting wasn't being retained, but I have a theory. When you go to the clock settings in the APIM (Sync screen) and set the clock to 24Hr mode it does change immediately. But the place that this setting is stored is in the IPC (instrument cluster module). Using FORScan to fix this setting changes a value in the IPC to get it to "stick" in 24Hr mode. So when the truck powers on and Sync reads the setting in the IPC it knows to show the time in 24hr mode.

So for this issue (and possibly other issues, dunno) I believe that changing the mode in Sync is not writing the value to the IPC...as if the IPC is not allowing the value to be adjusted. But doing it using FORScan works because you're adjusting the asbuilt value manually.

So it's a software problem.

Oh, and I too have the issue(s) with my IPC reverting to 'Calm Screen' (mostly) or some screen view other than what was showing when I shut the truck off the last time. I think I leave mine in 'Driver Assistance' most of the time, but will get back in after coming out of a store or something, and it's in 'Calm' for some reason.

So again....similar thing....the IPC is not retaining settings over restarts.

I'll add to the crappy Ford code saga....

After this last set of updates on my 24 Flash driving mode will not "stick" after the vehicle has been on the charger. I run in sport mode all the time and the popup to switch to sport at startup does not show up after being on the charger now, sometimes shows up off charge, and sometimes shows up, lets me select Yes and then switches back to normal mode.

Absolute shame that a company of this size cannot get their act together with the software.

Being a software engineer for around 30 years I know it takes some effort to build, maintain and update software for a company this size but damn... they have the resources to do it.

Get it right @FordMotorCompany

Similar issue after the last update, I also like to run in Sport mode, I do get the popup but even when I select yes to stay in Sport mode, a couple of minutes later is always switches back to normal mode. @Ford Motor Company is there a place to file bug reports?

Can someone share picture of this mythical IPC clock, please? I say mythical, because I’ve never seen it

Homelink has been removed from all Ford vehicles, to my knowledge. It is a security risk.
LMAO.

No, it was not removed for security reasons. Likely cost, and possibly EMI interference from EV motors.

As others have stated, people have been hanging an opener from a visor for decades. If you're too stupid to lock your internal door, that's on you. If you're concerned, you bring in the remote, and if you have Homelink, simply don't program it.

We park in the garage, but our garage doors are tied to the alarm system too.

Confirming the team is aware of this bug and is working on it.

@Ford Motor Company What about the air recirculation button? I press it intending it to stay on for the duration that I’m in a tunnel, but halfway through I’m sucking on fumes as it turns itself off. If your intention is to not have it be permanent (which is my expectation) could you at least add a timer for when the button resets?

Our 22's have have been plagued with these issues for some time, I wonder if Ford has given up sending solid updates to our trucks to fix these niggling problems, I'm at the point of just doing my own tweaking.
You know it’s bad when @TaxmanHog has to roll up the sleeves and start tinkering.

Has anyone else noticed a change in the return to Sport Mode bug?

Mine appears to be working now. For a while, after the recent round of three back to back November updates mine did not return to Sport Mode just like everyone else has reported. Now it seems it works. No new updates either. Still shows November 11 2025 as my most recent update. But it was either silently patched or worked itself out in the past week or two.

dont know all the deets but if you reboot a module (APIM maybe?) it behaves for a while

edit: afaik, it doesn't matter how or why it gets rebooted, manually, battery disconnect, low battery, etc

I was wrong. It still resets. Seems to take longer now before it resets to Normal mode. Fool me once :)
