I didn't see any speed or distance traveled mentioned in your report, maybe I missed it?
That would add a bit of context for me anyway.

That said, it worth noting that EVs including the Lightning operate so well in those extreme low temperatures.

I remember reading about Nissan Leafs proliferating in Norway and how well they did.

Maybe with less troubles than ICE vehicles.

I notice you replaced the 12v battery - were you keeping it on a battery maintainer?
One of my friends who lived in Minnesota said that was something everyone did.

This is the box I am currently using:

It's not as a big as it looks in this image - a little less than palm-sized. It plugs into the port in the little compartment at the top of the console and you can close the lid with this an multipole sets of sunglasses sharing the compartment.

It is currently available on Amazon for $179.99. Not cheap, but I've tried other less expensive standalone boxes but they have had have various, quirks that I found unacceptable. The one I reference is nice because it has standalone Android in addition to Carplay and Android Auto. So, it is basically a $180 android phone. It takes it's own Sim so it has it's own data source, if you want.

I find these standalone boxes preferable to auto-linking my standard Android phone. Plus with a device like this you are not bound by some of the silly "this button doesn't work because the car is moving" restrictions that Android Auto has.

I'm guessing you are still wearing your parka with hood up while driving around to keep the cabin temp down that low. Maybe I haven't figured it out yet, but here in Kansas at 20 to 50 degrees F I have to crank it up to 80 to 85 to get it shirt sleeve warm in over 5 miles that in the Subaru or Prius I would have set at 70 and be warm in a mile. And I'm only maintaining minimum warmth because the seat and steering wheel heaters are on high doing most of the work to keep me warm the whole time. I'll take a thermometer with me today as a monitor but even when I try to leave it on a 75 degree setting after 5 or 10 miles it never feels warm. Lately I've got it on 80 plus all the time for a 20 minute drive to the farm. Sometimes I remember to turn on the climate control in the ford app but usually leave at the spur of the moment. I'm not a fan of the heat pump in these trucks.

Just some thoughts…..

I suspect that the F-150 Lightning had a heat pump based Climate system rather than a normal Air Conditioner- they are way mor e efficient when it comes to energy usage. At -35 deg, that heat pump is going to be useless and the truck will be relying on the electric strip heaters used to augment the heat pump. So for every kW of energy used you get 1kW of heat out. (As opposed to 1 to 3 by using a compressor- this is a gross oversimplification, but the point is that you get more BTU’s using a heat pump than you do electric heat.)

I am guessing that you are probably using more heat to run the cabin than by driving

Ref the two comments above, as far as I know, my 22 Lightning doesn't use a heat pump. As mentioned, heat pumps are pretty much worthless when there is no heat to pump - like at -35. Likewise LFP batteries. I wouldn't buy a vehicle with an LFP battery given the extreme winter cold here

Adding to @Bandit216 comments our 2022 & 2023 Lightnings have a glycol immersion heater aka (PTC) that heats the glycol coolant then pipes it directly to the cabin heater core.

Then onward to through a system electable diverter valve, which can route the remaining heat energy to the HVB in cold conditions, this routing only occurs during on the plug "departure timed" battery conditioning, and in theory, while driving enroute to DCFC facilities if listed in the native and third party NAV's.

There is one exception though for 2022's which have a system glitch preventing the enroute conditioning @Ford Motor Company PLEASE FIX THIS LOGIC!

I may have to see where I can mount a space heater in front. Yesterday it was 14 degrees and 40 mph winds blowing through Kansas.

Had the heater set on high and a #3 fan speed and it wasn't heating much. Tried it with full fan speed and it would blow more hot air but never really got hot in the cab to where I would want to take my coat off. I was worried about the outside air coming in with the fan on high comment from above but didn't notice any. I was wearing the same coat and clothes for outside. Closed the back seat vents yesterday and today I'll block off the under seat vents.

Drove it twice for 40 miles before stopping and twice for 13 miles before stopping. Got about 1.12 miles per kwh in that wind, cold, and running the heater on high in daylight at 65 mph.

Since the freeze here started I've set the remote start at max and the regular climate to 72 and it's worked pretty well, but I agree the climate control is all over the map and to make it that much more annoying the controls are on a laggy touch screen

From my experience in both the 22 Lightning and the 21 Mach E, I haven't notice the cold air being mixed into the flow at high fan speeds until the outside temperature is below -10 or so. That may be because the battery isn't yet requiring a large share of the heating, due to its preheating or having been in a warm garage or because the net output of the heat allocated to the cabin is able to keep a warmish flow even as it is mixed with the cooler air at higher fan speed.
