The new midsize truck will be interesting. If they keep it at current Maverick/Ranger price levels I'm anxious to see how many they can sell. If sales continue to be miserable on a sub-$40k BEV truck then that'll pretty much be the nail in the coffin for the Ford EV program I would say. Fingers crossed that it does well...

As far as the EREV Lightning replacement goes, I can't wait to see more. THIS is the truck that'll be most interesting. I saw today that Scout is now up to 150,000 reservations for their new entry into the segment and 85% of those are for the EREV version. CLEARLY after all we've seen in the last few years it is obvious people still want gasoline convenience and practicality in their trucks.

C'mon @Ford Motor Company , give us more EREV news!
don't get too far out ahead of you skis.... there were 200,000 reservations for the Lightning and. . .

Yup then people see the actual cost. Same happened with the refrigerator. Time will tell whether or not people put their money where their mouth is. $100 is peanuts compared to the actual cost.

The window sticker said it was a 2025 model, which didn't happen. It also listed about a dozen options added. I'm skeptical that the price is accurate for what will be released. I'm sure the top line will be in that region, but that ain't a starting price. At least I sure hope it ain't. Who could be that dense to think it would sell at all?

I agree about the pricing being dense :)

I dug through the Reddit post and the original poster there commented that the staff in the booth at that auto show told him, the sticker they put in the window was what they were given to put up...

That price is DOA in my opinion... it will sell less than the Charger EV did...

But there were some insane lease deals on the Charger EV... Sub $200 leases... Fingers crossed it happens again :)

Hi Brian, are you allowed to tell us if the next Lightning will be available in different bed and cabin configuration? Thanks!

It's a great question. If you wanted to sell more than the lightning electric truck did, you would think a six and a half a bed configuration would be on the table. But I'm guessing they're not going to tell us anything right now.

Hey Dude. I see you list your 25 Flash with 131 KWH battery as a Job 1. I've seen others as a Job 2. I have the 25 Flash with the same battery. What is the deal with the Job numbers and how do I tell what I have? Thanks. This question is open to anybody.

Pretty sure it’s based off your production date. There was a cutoff when ford switched the battery out for the 25’s. The build guide on the forum shows the difference in specs between job 1 & 2. I think you can find the build date on your window sticker.

Yep, as said above. Job 1 vs Job 2 has existed in F150 production for decades. During a model year run, they shutdown the line and swap factory over to Job 2 changes. So every year F150 and in this case Lightning, has differences in the same model year. It's a Ford thing.

In 2025 there was several Job 2 changes including battery change to 123kWh on Flash, elimination of spare tire as standard, etc. I searched for a Job 1 because I wanted larger battery and a spare tire. Not deal breaker stuff but if you know the difference, you can make a choice for yourself.

Seems like I have a mix. Build date is 3-20-25 for 2025 Flash. Equipment group 312A. Standard is the 131 KWH battery and also the tailgate with step and work surface. However I didn't have the spare tire and jack. I looked at a thread that listed Job 2 build order date as starting on 1-8-25 but maybe I didn't get far enough to see when they shut down the line and made the changes. Dealer got me a spare tire and jack off another vehicle on the lot.
