Undocumented OTA Behavior on Update Thursday 5/1/2025

Oct 23 build, XLT ER.

Update Thursday came and went. No app notification, no update through the Ford account software update website page listed, and no update shown via the infotainment system. My last update was the windows back on April 10th

However, upon start up this morning all the signs that an OTA update occured.

-Brake coach was back
-All the my view settings I had set disappeared and it was set to defaults, such as trip 1, calm screen, ect
-instrument cluster screen brightness was back to default and full brightness

Any one else with the 12" sync 4 screen have this occur last night into today?

Nothing on my 23 Pro, but then again I haven't had an update since December. I think I've had 2 since I got the truck, they never seem to happen for me.

I’ve had this happen multiple times. I just thought something updated in the background that wasn’t a full update.

I’ve had the MyView reset and the Sync screen act like there was an update several times recently. I haven’t had any OTA updates in the last two months. Do configuration updates trigger these behaviors? There are some reports of Forscan changes being reset (camera view). @rugedraw @bmwhitetx ?

Sounds like maybe just a glitch in the matrix. My truck defaults to "myview" every time I start it and it has done that for a very long time. There is no known fix for that AFAIK.

The IPC settings reset if the IPC module fully reboots (instead of sleeps) for some reason. Could just be a glitch of it froze up.
Had this happen a couple times. I thought it was a secret update but turns out it’s not.

I've noticed more MyView resets than normal lately. I'm hoping that means BC1.4 is downloading, but nothing on the software update screen indicates that it is. Maybe downloading doesn't cause it at all. I'm just guessing (and hoping).

I did get the window update a few weeks ago.

Tried disconnecting your battery for 20 minutes or so and then reconnect. That may reset your modem and you’ll be surprised that you might be getting updates again.

I also have a 2023 Pro, these are the updates I've had in 2025:

EDIT: the dealer said they installed 1 other update when I took it in for 1-year service in January but they do not show up on the update history - a Frunk issue update.

I had trouble getting updates last summer due to the 12V battery being too low, as others did.
Another possibility is in a weak or dead cell area, wasn't my issue, according to other posts.

I noticed the same on my 23 XLT ER, but last update was on 04/11/2025 - Windows Functionality Update DDM-25.12.0. Today, app showed error trying to display update, but vehicle still shows DDM-25.12.0.

Might be a Ford mobile app issue:
Are you running 5.17.0, 5.17.1 or the latest 5.18.0?

I'm running 5.17.1 and I can see my last update that posted 4/9/25 as 25.12.0 Window Update.
