You, @CAMB150, and I need to make some noise to @Ford Motor Company to get them to add the 2023 lightning to the NJ program!! We are losing out on a $2000 point of sale credit because of this !! My dealer said they would submit it as long as it shows in the vehicle list on the charge up site. This credit was a big reason I ordered and not we won’t get it over something as stupid simple as Ford sending an email for the 2023 model to be added.

Anybody here right with some people at the BPU?!

I've been trying. going back and forth through Facebook asking why they don't list F150L 2023 in the NJchargeup program. They don't have a clue, telling me go and speak to Ford credit to speak with dealer. What does BPU stand for?

That’s the same generic response I’ve gotten. They haven’t been reading my actually request. They see “credit” and think I’m asking questions about financing I guess.

BPU is Board of Public Utilities. That’s the actual NJ side of things. The Charge up program seems to be run by the center of sustainable energy out of California. The BPU is listed in the terms and conditions for the dealers to appeal denied claims. Not sure who we can reach out to but ultimately @Ford Motor Company just needs to submit the vehicle in!! Easy process since they already did the 2022.

I’m confident I will make the purchase unless they low ball me insanely for my Mach e trade in. I will let you know how it goes with the 2k NJ incentive since they already included on the sales agreement. Hopefully they (United road) pickup tomorrow and dealership have it ready for me this Friday.

Man I wish I did a purchase agreement! Although I doubt my dealer would have put it on there since they can only give out the credit if it’s available and funds can run out at any moment.

No I tried getting them to submit it as soon as I ordered but they wouldn’t. The terms and conditions made it seem like it could be done, but they said they called and couldn’t .

Still hanging out on Ramp 51, my truck really likes it there. Maybe I'll look at properties nearby so I can be closer and visit it sometimes.

If you haven’t already, call the Ford Marketing unit at 1-800-334 4375 and let them know you’re feeling disappointed and see if they can check all the systems for more current info. Several of us have had good results with them.

To my fellow California buyers:

If you qualify, the Clean Vehicle Rebate ($2,000) was processed pretty quickly. I filed the paperwork on the 17th and it was approved today. It might take 90 days to actually get the check, but at least I know it is going forward.
