It’s been a phenomenal truck. I’ve been to half the states with it. Commuted with it. Road tripped with it. Towed a camper. Plowed with it. Camped in it. Hauled a mower. Landscaped with it, mulch, trees, saw a drive in movie with the family in it.

I think about the only thing I didn’t do with it is move livestock..does my dog count?

The only thing I’ve ever wished for something on this truck was a slightly bigger battery for towing..and now rear passenger safety.

I will miss this truck dearly.

I am reluctantly going back to a R1T…

For my use case, it doesn’t come close to meeting the Lightning. I commented this morning “at least the ventilated seats are better, some of the best I’ve sat in” and she goes “finally! A positive thing!”

Unfortunately the IIHS crash test rating of poor for the rear makes the Lightning no longer a viable vehicle for me. Hopefully Ford fixes it in 2026/2027 and I’ll be back.
Yeah my berries like to feel the breeze and the ford seats do not bring the flow.

Understandable, that updated test data was a bit concerning for me as well.
