New owner here, how do you even order this adapter? When I go to the Ford website it lists the price ($200) but does not list an option to purchase or "add to the cart". Obviously says item is backordered. It simply says to enter email and you will be notified when back in stock. Is there another website that I should be checking?

Ford has about 125,000 more to fulfill from the free orders, out of about 160,000 to start with. Months. Likely many months.

Buy the A2Z adapter(s). When your Ford one comes, keep a backup or sell one - there are a dozen more car companies that will gain access in 2025.

A2ZEV makes the Typhoon Pro adapter for Tesla SuperChargers. It sells for $185.00 ($175.75 with code FORDFORUM). They also sell the Stellar adapter, which is for Tesla Destination chargers (such as hotels, private homes). It sells for $108 ($102.60 with code FORDFORUM) . They are currently shipping quickly. Nope, they are still trying to fill all the original orders, SOON™ then you will get an email at some point.

At this point the only option is to buy third party adapters, look for other members like @RickLightning who are promoting them in their sig's

If I remember right, When I went into the fordpass app, after I bought my Flash, in the Connected Services tab there was a link to order the NACS adapter. I do not know if Ford continued this free offer or not and I thought it was a kindof on and off again offer. So you may or may not get a free one. Of course it is taking many months to get them if free. I ordered mine (free) on September 9th, and my delivery date is supposedly Jan. 2025 sometime. Yes it was moved back a month since ordering.

Not to rub it in, but I tried the adapter Sunday. Wow. Just WOW! Super fast charging. Cheaper and faster than any places I charged at two Ford Dealers. Seamless. Paid through Ford automatically. Charging through Ford chargers at two dealers took a couple minutes to recognize vehicle and start. At a Ford location, ford charger, through Fords app. Imagine that.

Add your email and you'll be the first to know when the adapter is in stock for paid purchases - and you can use FordPass Rewards points to help pay for it if you haven't spent your points already.

I just got pushed back to December as well. In hindsight, back a few months ago when they pushed the delivery to January 2025 seems to be very realistic. It is a shame they moved delivery up by months just to push it back again to save face.

It may not be the best look to complain about getting something for free; but Ford did not do a great job with this. I ordered my adapter 3/2 (after 5 p.m. so it says 3/3 order) and won't be getting it in December, so it will be January 2025 the earliest. Very lame of Ford to be say January 2025, then move it up a few months in response to backlash over the wait, then back to January 2025.
