Does “KEY DETECTION ALERT” (E) have anything to do with BC?
Check prior comments, are you referring to a programming code, if so, I'll take my nose outta the conversation, I'm not knowledgeable about those things. 🤡

No, likely the coin battery in your FOB is weak, position the fob in the cup holder for better reception, remove the rubber insert to reveal the recess where the passive sensor will still be able to read the near dead fob.

It does not, not directly, anyway. KDA seems to be enabled in Lightnings and not in the ICE trucks from factory. So, when the changes that enabled BC were ported over from the F150s to these trucks, it ended up disabling KDA when Lightning owners enabled Lane Biasing in the APIM. @bmwhitetx is the one that caught it, so I amended the changes I send Lightning owners to change it to an E instead of a 4 to keep KDA and FRD enabled.

So to anyone who got the BC 1.4 changes from me a long time ago that sees this, check this value and if you have a 4 there, change it to an E.

As a followup, KDA or Key Detection Alert is a toggle in Sync that allows you to enable/disable the double honk if you leave your truck on when exiting the vehicle with your fob/PAAK.

So if you disable that (by choosing 4 instead of A or E) you lose this setting:
Ford F-150 Lightning 2023 Lightning Lariat updated to Blue Cruise 1.4 at the dealership at no charge. 1745955534141-y8

like so:
Ford F-150 Lightning 2023 Lightning Lariat updated to Blue Cruise 1.4 at the dealership at no charge. 1745955967939-w8

The second setting that gets changed with "4" is that your Frunk Restricted Determination (FRD) goes from Internal to External. Lightnings have Internal FRD. Mach-E's have External FRD.

I have instructions for enabling the WAL toggles on the FORScan mod page. I really doubt they can do that since it requires a configurator in FDRS and I'm not aware that is available. They will not do FORScan. Ford has said it would come as an OTA.

Same thing for BC. While they can update the IPMA and PSCM, I don't know if that in itself enables the feature. There are FORScan changes floating around that do.

It certainly doesn't enable the Sync toggles. But like WAL, maybe it just works. Ford has again said the toggles and capability will come as an OTA (soon).

Dumb question- I just got BC 1.4 from dealer (modem reprogramming needed, so they installed updates too) and my two bottom toggles (In-Lane Repositioning & Lane Change Assist) now show but they won't stay toggled on nor do they highlight blue once in the on position... any thoughts? Missing a secondary update? Thanks (23 Lariat).

Even they may have updated all your modules (PSCM, IPMA and APIM all require updates), for BC to work the IPMA has to be configured. In the past the dealer updating the IPMA did not also configure it. Not sure if later updates do or not.

The IPMA can be configured using FORScan. Myself or @rugedraw can tell you what to change but I would prefer if you DM your VIN to him so he double check that the IPMA and PSCM were indeed updated.

It could also be they updated the APIM (SYNC screen toggles), but not the IPMA or PSCM.
