I just don't understand that math. If Ford builds 80,000 for reservations this year (150,000 rate by end of 23 with unknown going to fleet) that should put them at 50% filled assuming a 90% conversion rate. Under that poor math and logic a dealer with 500 reservations should have definitely filled more than 35 total.
No... That would be true assuming equal distribution among dealers.

Since Ford is disproportionately allocating trucks to certain dealers with a strong preference for those in ZEV states, that math doesn't mean much.

Dealer A in Kansas with 500 reservations could get 1 allocation while dealer B in California with 500 reservations could get 400 allocations.

That's the problem though. Ford's bread and butter has been the rust belt and we are the ones being left out in the cold.

I just got the email from ford stating orders start soon and have one on order via wave 7. Maybe I get 2?!
6/14/2022 Wave 7 order, not scheduled, no email. Guess I only get 1.

I’ve been patient as a first minute 5/19 reservation holder, but this is getting frustrating. No email..probably left out of this wave. It is obvious allocation is the biggest key and it’s anyones guess as to if you are lucky to be with a dealer with decent allocation. I’m at a large volume dealer in..high on their list..crickets.

New Pricing for 2023 lightning on fords website build and price. Base price of XLT Extended Range is 80,974. Doesn't that disqualify all options but 2 (pro and XLT Standard Range) for the 7500 EV federal tax credit??

I don't see the build and price for 2023 on Ford's website.

I don’t see the 2023 build and price yet. The MSRP including destination has to be under $80k, not over.

back to my question. If those prices of an xlt extended range are accurate, doesn't that disqualify them for the tax credit? isn't that a poor pricing plan from ford? alot of people might downgrade to get the tax credit. that's about a &16k price difference downgrading to the standard range battery including the tax credit

Damn that's a 17.5% bump on the PRO, looks like add-ons have gone up too, and they're charging $500 for the standard power cord.

Max tow - $1000

Unless Ford wants to sell more SR trucks to spread out their battery supply.

Based on those prices, all SR trucks qualify and all ER trucks don't
