Ford announced in 2025, starting with Job 2 production, the Flash will come with a 123 kWh battery instead of 131 kWh. These are starting to show up in dealer inventory now mixed in with the 131 kWh battery and dealer sites may not indicate battery size. NOTE: The MSRP is the same for both!

There are a couple of ways to determine battery size. First, it will be clearly shown on the Window Sticker:

Second - if sticker isn't available, the 8th character of the VIN tells you battery size (I added a mnemonic to help you remember:) ):
"7" - 131 kWh e.g. 1FTVW3L70SWG0237x (lucky 7)
"U" - 123 kWh e.g., 1FT6W3LU0SWG1512x (U screwed)

Third Way:
123 kWh will show 300 mile EPA range
131 kWh will show 320 mile EPA range

The codes above are for the single 48-amp AC charger (standard on all Lightnings beginning in 2024)
However. like the ER Pro, the Flash does offer a fleet option for the dual AC charger (80-amp):
"M" - 131 kWh dual charger 1FT6W3LM0SWG0131x
I haven't found a Job 2 123 kWh with dual charger yet. Also, the fleet-only Pro ER will have a 123 kWh battery going forward.

Finally, "K" is the code for the Standard Range 98 kWh battery with single charger as found in Pro and XLT.

Single or dual charger is also shown on Window Sticker next to battery size:

The codes above are specific to '24 and '25.
For '22 and '23 (all trims):
"L" - Standard Range, 98 kWh, single charger standard
"V" - Extended Range, 131 kWh, dual charger standard

Thanks for this although I now know that my battery is the 123 kWh and I’m pissed. What is the impact to battery performance?

Thanks for this although I now know that my battery is the 123 kWh and I’m pissed. What is the impact to battery performance?
You have 300 mile EPA range instead of 320. (Added as Third way above - some dealer sites may show this number)

same chemistry in 123kwh battery? I'm guessing they haven't switched to LFP yet.
Yep same exact modules as before just different numbers of each type.

Long Answer:
There are 9 battery arrays/modules in every Lightning. Some of those are small size (11.95 kWh) and some are large size (16.43 kWh).

The SR 98 kWh has 9 small modules.
The ER 131 kWh has 8 large and 1 small.
The Flash 123 kWh has 6 large and 3 small.
So they just swapped out two large modules for small ones in the Job 2 Flash.

Note the smalls in the ER are a different arrangement of cells (5P8S) than the SR (4P10S) but overall still 40 cells/11.95 kWh.

So, besides usable kWh, also Hp varies with size of cell group (4P vs 5P) and number of cell groups. What is 2025 Flash Mid-range Hp rating compared to the SR (452hp) and ER(580hp)? - I found 536hp at https://www.thecarconnection.com/specifications/ford_f-150-lightning_2025 .

I have a 23XLT ER. I’m confused, what are the 1 charger/2 charger differences mentioned earlier in this string?

I have a 23XLT ER. I’m confused, what are the 1 charger/2 charger differences mentioned earlier in this string?
Model years 2022 & 2023 ER trucks have two distinct AC to DC inverters, while SR trucks have only one.

The majority of 2024+ truck now only have one inverter to charge the HVB, exceptions for fleet ordered ER trucks where the buyer elects an option for dual inverters.

I assumed my truck had 2 chargers, one being 110vac and the other being 220vac

i’m still confused, does the single charger accept 110 and 220v ? Do the duel chargers charge different parts of the hv battery or do they operate in parallel to charge the hv battery.

I assumed my truck had 2 chargers, one being 110vac and the other being 220vac

i’m still confused, does the single charger accept 110 and 220v ? Do the duel chargers charge different parts of the hv battery or do they operate in parallel to charge the hv battery.
I'm not fully aware exactly how it works, but they do work in tandem parallel, in 240v mode (level 2) and above a specific amperage limitation both are activated. In 120v mode (level 1) I believe, (not certain) that only the primary inverter is active.
