2025 Lariat Rotary Shifter “service required” After Install

2025 Lariat here. Second time I have tried to install the rotary shifter without success. This time i disconnected the 12v battery until the install was complete. OEM shifter works fine when re-installed.

Codes (see pictures attached):
"Shift system fault service required"

"Park brake limited function service required"

The shifter is from a Maverick
(NZ6P-7P155-AE) and I am showing this as compatible per first 8 digits:

Interesting. I have a 24 lariat. Got a rotary shifter on eBay from an escape. Worked like a charm with no issues. Is there a difference from 24-25 that prevents this mod?

If you plug in your rotary shifter and you get an error, the problem is with your rotary shifter.

One suggestion is to post a pic of your OEM shifter part sticker and let other owners compare with theirs. If you have the same OEM part as other successful mods then you can rule out TRON. Thus likely a bad rotary shifter. Was it used from a salvaged truck?

By any chance did you forget to plug back in the wires for the dead battery for thekeyless start system?

Wrong shifter. Maverick wont work. You need an Escape
