I'm getting my trailer module update done Wednesday morning 3/25 dropping the Lightning off in the morning, they're doing the 30k at that time also.

I'm not sure what the deal is here. If it has been working fine in the past and there is a communication problem at startup, can't you shut down and restart until it does run without the communication failure?

I finally reached out to the mobile repair tech and they checked for the trailer recall but I have already received the over the update the OBBC-AS.AU update which also does the recall it has been removed from Ford Pass.

Probably. That’s why it’s called a race condition, you never know who’s going to win. The problem is if you don’t notice the warning when it pops up you will be driving around without working trailers lights.

Ford just came to my home today and spent about 30 minutes both recalls and the 10K mile maintenance. No cost to me. It was a pleasure to see how this all came together.

Got my truck back from service this afternoon, they completed the 26c10 updates with no issues, also did the multipoint inspection, the coolant testing was fine and they rotated the tires, while the 25c69 recall could NOT be completed do to lack of software for 2022 & 2023 Lightnings.

Final cost for services $44.

I do have this recall as well now in the fordpass app. I'll just wait for the OTA as I don't tow much.

I have a 2022. I did a search in Grok, and it advised:

"Brake fluid replacement: Every 3 years (do not exceed this; requires dealer equipment). Regenerative braking in the Lightning reduces brake wear, but fluid still degrades over time." This checks with what the service schedule says.

How much does the dealer charge for this?

I guess I’m just waiting for the OTH update for this as I have a 23 model and also have towed (at least) a hundred times without experiencing these problems.

Dealership called me a couple of days ago and offered to come by and do it in my driveway. It only took the guy about 10-15 minutes and I've had no issues. He said that the update had not been released OTA yet and they were just trying to get ahead of it by mobile service visits.

I found it interesting that the tech said that he had gear in his truck to charge mine if it was needed(it wasn't). Does anyone know if they do this via a generator or do they carry a battery around to top folks off?

Probably on a related note, the truck now wants to apply the OTA update that others have started getting related to public charging. It was supposed to do it last night but didn't because it says the update process was interrupted so it will try again tonight.
