I just called today and the person on the line said she had no resources on a “Ford UAW sticker” and to talk to my dealer. What is the magic word we need to say for them to find the sticker?

That's helpful - before I reach out to my insurance, do you think I would have trouble getting them to use this windshield part number would they only want to replace it with standard factory part, or some other generic?

Depends on your insurance carrier and your state. Because my truck is a 2022, they will insist on aftermarket glass or require me to pay the difference.

So is it a F150 thing with these windshields getting pummeled with little rock chips? I don’t recall this happening so quickly with my other vehicles. But anyways, I now have a few decent rock chips that has me researching how I’d get a 75th anniversary windshield for my 2023 as well for when the inevitable time comes.

Well, my Mach-E has had a replacement, my 2013 F-150 has one, and I just did the LIghtning.

I say, no, it's not an F-150 thing. Windshields get hit with rocks. My Lightning got hit in Canada where they treat the roads with gravel in winter. I have about a dozen chips on the body, and the front bumper looks like someone hit it with buckshot.

My replacement, 100% covered by my zero deductible glass coverage that I pay $106 per vehicle for, was $1,382.12. So, at $106 per year, breakeven is every 13 years. It also covers the glass roofs on both vehicles, and of course back and side windows.

On my F-150, I got the last one repaired, and I could still see the small mark it left every time I drove it. My insurance company offered to replace it, but I didn't, and then sold it like that.

Here's the 2 hits on my windshield that you could see (one from inside and outside), you can't see the many tiny marks that it had also.

Yep mine has a couple hits like that too. But I totally forgot I probably have zero deductible on glass. I need to check on this thanks!
