2022's had either a recall or CSP regarding wipers, mine passed the inspection with no service required at the time, did your truck go through the same check-up?Just to close the loop on this in case it helps someone else down the road.
I did try resetting (then disconnecting) the 12V battery as suggested, unfortunately, no luck. When I eventually brought the truck into the dealer, they were actually very adamant that owners should not disconnect the 12V battery on their own, as it can apparently cause issues with the vehicle’s computer systems if not done correctly.
In my case, it turned out that one of the windshield wiper motors had failed. Of course, this happened at 38,000 miles, so just outside the warranty window. The repair ended up costing about $600.
I did make multiple calls to Ford to ask about goodwill assistance since a wiper motor failing this early feels pretty premature, but unfortunately Ford was unwilling to help at all.
Posting this mainly as a data point for others, if your wipers start acting up, it may not be a software or reset issue at all, and be prepared that it could be a motor failure.
